I think its interesting that despite his age (and all the prejudice you'd expect to come with it) Tyll is one of the most forward thinking in the group. Thinking that audiophiles won't at some point be using a single device/headphone with source, dsp, noise cancelling etc. is folly - it is simply a matter of time and development.
Lord Victor Halgaard it’s already moving towards that, especially with how budget oriented young people (myself included) are. I think tinkering with DSPs will inevitably become the new tube rolling for my generation

This video makes me realize that Mr speakers is probably ahead of audeze with regards to planar research and development progress at this point. Audeze tried to improve the interference of planar magnets with the phasers but Mr speakers really took it to the next level
The dude from HIFIMAN was surprisingly naive and uninformed about headphone technology. He was duped by a DSP vendor without a proper A/B comparison. Protip: the stax headphones are going to sound amazing with or without a DSP. I guess he has great engineers working for him.
