Dear David..Thank you, Thank YOU, THANK YOUUUUU. Thank you SO much for your kind and awesome efforts to put these beautiful instructional videos up. I SSOOOOOO appreciate your efforts. I am a beginner to LRC and you are just opening a whole new world to me, AND teaching me good habits to becoming PHOTO ORGANISED. You are REALLY APPRECIATED and I hope life is treating you well. THANK YOU again.
Hello, I have a request. I have downloaded photos into Lightroom but when I go to Develop the photos are at the bottom of the bar but the rest including just the edit page is completely greyed out with no editing options. I can't even see the photo in the preview still just at the bottom of the bar. Please advise, thank you very much
Uh, oh... I imported two groups of images. I went to rename the two folders to add location or name of client to them and it says that folder can not be moved or renamed. Help!?
Thanks for that demo. What I fail to understand is why you want to use folders which can have sub-folders and then the same photos in Collections again?
I searched it and found an answer.... You just click on a different folder and then while on that folder move the mouse to the one you want to rename, put arrow over one you want to rename and click rename. Change the name. Works every time!!!
I don't sort my photos out by year, I have created folders with different categories, Wildlife, Churches, Landscapes etc etc. We go away 3 or 4 times a year, have a folder called Holidays, sub folder with year we went away and then inside the place we stayed then the weekday with every photo taken that day within. I then give them adequate metadata names If I'm looking for something I just type in the metadata name and hey presto anything with that name is retrieved. I've got over 70,000 photos in my catalogue and don't have any issues finding something
If you have a system that works for you, keep using it. That is the beauty of lightroom. There are so many different ways to organize your collection. I find it easier to sort by year

I honestly rarely use collection. I just wanted to demonstrate the many ways of organizing in lightroom.
