Actually I have had up to 5x12 mats in this machine. A commercial washer extractor is the best way to clean entry mats. The backing stops the suction from a carpet extractor fromextracting the hot solution and the dirty water remains and causes the mats to curl up. All reputable laundries wash them in a washer-extractor as you see here and tumble dry them. The drying shakes out the sand not removed in the washer and rolling the hot fron the dryer mats makes them lay out better.
These machines have muscle and are solid workhorses..luv the white noise can do without the radio noise!

@johnny2970 We ran the mats in cold water. The owner said it was better for them and saved money. I'd still rather have done them in hot water.
You're right that's what we did with ours with warm water.
