@@amann3161 If this is the first January that you have ever experienced this, there may be something else going on. Or if this is the first January you have been kept away from outdoor light, ditto. Other things are going on, outside of your control, like 5G ramping up and it can cause anxiety and depression as well as create the symptoms of a certain famous bug that is going around. Maybe some towers were added near you recently. There is a huge rollout going on around the world right now, and those cities have huge disease spikes. Maybe, psychologically, you thought there might be hope for normalcy in the world, and circumstances have made things seem worse to you. Or something else entirely may be going on with your thyroid or allergies or who knows what.
Consider doing things that can turn down the inflammation in your life, and see if it makes a difference, and you might want to check in with the doctor for labs (but you may need to get more labs than you think you need for things the doc won't necessarily request - TMI for this post). A low-grade infection, even, can leave us feeling like that.
      Turning down inflammation:
cut out the carbs as much as possible
grass-fed/grass-finished ruminant meat as a diet mainstay
high omega-3 WILD CAUGHT NOT FARMED seafood like sardines, salmon, mackerel
get outside with uncovered eyes (no contacts, no glasses, no windows) every morning for 20-30 minutes
have bare feet on bare ground as often as possible or wear grounded soles - leather or with a grounding "plug" as it will decrease inflammation in the body caused by non-native EMF all around you (WiFi, electrical wires, etc. )
if possible, be outdoors in that state as much as possible
limit, limit, limit screen time, especially in the evenings. take up listening to audiobooks.
use candlelight instead of that awful led light that everyone has to use these days
go to bed early, and anticipate that you might have what some cultures call "first sleep" and "second sleep." Don't turn on lights or screens when you wake up, just putter a little with candlelight if you can't fall back asleep quickly, and go back to bed when ready.
Turn off the media as much as you can and/or focus on positive news, soothing music.
Get together often with people you enjoy being with, laughter is good medicine.
do something nice for someone as often as you can. If possible, do good stuff for others in pairs or small groups.
      Don't worry.
consider buying something along the lines of a Joov light after learning how best to use one.
I use far infrared (dome) and near infrared (cheap chicken brooder lights in metal shades with clamps) the help me out at times. So refreshing! But learn how to do stuff before diving in. Try using tanning beds judiciously.
Fast. Fasting for long periods of time is an excellent way to lower stress hormones, but again, you need to know what you are doing. Mindy Pelz has a lot of informative videos on YT on fasting, as do other experts. If severely underweight, you would want to pack on a few pounds before fasting for a serious amount of time.
How is your diet? Carbs, sugars, even vegetarian/vegan diets can hurt you, even if done "right." Sometimes getting animal fat into the diet is what helps heal the brain and the mood. You just don't want to simultaneously carb it up!
Not to prescribe, but to leave some breadcrumbs to follow, and to learn about....

The evidence clearly shows that once you reach a serum vitamin D level of 40
ng/ml, your risk for cancer plunges by 67 percent, compared to having a
level of 20 ng/ml or less
When sunlight shines on your skin, nitric oxide-a blood pressure lowering
compound-is released into your bloodstream, which helps protect your
cardiovascular system and cut your risk of heart attacks and stroke
Other health benefits of sensible sun exposure include eye health, sexual

Sunlight, for most humans stimulates Vit. D synthesis and sets in motion endocrine functions. Pretty freaking cool, isn't it? Yeah, your pineal gland (the 3rd eye), triggers melatonin to make you sleepy when lights go dark. Get a flash of bright light, like from your phone screen being too bright, and that can throw off your sleepiness signal for almost two hours.

Dr. Wunsch, may I please add to your discussion at 42 minutes: "What we feel when we are exposed to the sun?" In mid day, only extremely sensitive and mindful people will feel a sort of burning sensation which may be what you assert is the short wave/ high energy/ ultraviolet/ damaging rays; however my experience in America reveals many do not feel this subtle sensation, but rather feel the redder rays heating up the water in their skin. ...On the other hand, in the late afternoon sun when the ultraviolet light is highly scattered and thus filtered out of the spectrum, and there is a predominance of the warmer longer wavelength red mid- and near-infrared wavelengths, this is felt as warmth, as the water in the skin heats up and then the "heat" nerves sense thermal heat because these longer wavelengths selectively heat the water molecules. This is felt as a very pleasant warm sensation that no one would deny. Would you agree with my observation?

@@heehee5472 Hello, please avoid sun mid day when UV levels are harmful, and try to get as much sun in the morning as possible, also evening light helps with health too. Light exposure after sunset can be harmful and interfere with eye health and sleep but if you must have light make sure it is incandescent and not LED or fluorescents. those hurt eyes and cause macular degeneration especially at night. hope this helps, I am just sharing what the light experts are teaching me.

    • @raduneo

midday sun can be dangerous if you did not build up your solar callus the correct way yes. A very good way to develop your solar callus is to spend time in the sun before UVB makes its appearance... and then slowly add some close-to-midday sun exposure as you feel more comfortable. I did this this summer and did not have a single sunburn, my skin never peeled off, and I would spend up to 4-5 hours in the (North American) sun (compared to previous years when I would get sunburns).

I don't tend to burn so easily now but... I'm still not gonna stay out for too long in direct sun. I feel like I can increase my tolerance though, by building it up gradually. Has there been any studies with regards diet? Nightshades for example, tomatoes, aubergine etc do they help in this regards? Eating more of a mediterranean diet. I certainly feel like I cope better, and my skin looks significantly healthier now I eat a variety of vegetables, compared to the more processed junk/refined carb diet I ate in my teens and into my twenties. Should sun cream be avoided completely? What about using something like coconut oil.

The speaking style of this doctor is indeed slow and he does use lots of pauses. HOWEVER, do not let that keep you from exerting extra patience to listen to his explosive thesis which flys in the face of this current generally accepted (but false) understanding: "the light of the sun is cancer causing therefore avoid sunlight". An analogy that he uses to show the absurdity of that false truth is this equally false truth: "Oxygen contributes to oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species which contribute to cancer therefore, avoid oxygen."
      What is the nutshell?
      a) Sunlight affects ALL of the body's organs through blood exposure to light as it circulates through the skin.
      b) Lack of appropriate length of time and frequency of exposure to sunlight causes disease.
      c) Suntan lotion exacerbates damage to skin.
      d) Artificial light is not a substitute for truly full spectrum light.
The boiled down summary of his lecture is this: Expose your skin and naked eyes to sunlight, especially in the early morning and the afternoon-evening, for initially short and then increasing lengths of time. Keep your bedroom completely dark at night.

I heard the doctor explain that Phenomenological vs 'evidence based' experimentation can learn from each other. Not to assume that one rises above the other. If the truth be told, experimentation these days is more politically or financially based. eg: Pharmacology, pseudopathology, etiology...

      James Sheffer
There is certainly corruption in modern medical practice and wisedom in old ways, but but science is an effective way of dealing with both those things. Anecdotes an tradition are not good evidence for anything. At best they are clues to places to look. We already know that sunshine exposure has effects on health so lets deal with what science knows about it rather than cherry picking the superstitions that fit our prejudices.

michalchik Surely I agree with you that anecdotes do not rise to the level of science. But I would go further to suggest that 'medical science', independent of political and economic influence, no longer exists in our 'modern' world. If you can direct me toward contradictory evidence, I would appreciate it. I say this only because of the frustration I experience when I go deeper into every major medical finding announced in the media over the past 5 years. I appreciate the opportunity to have someone disagree with me! I don't enjoy coming to the conclusions that I have. Thanks michalchik.

James Sheffer Its a mixed bag. The drug approval system is badly corrupt but there are people trying to improve that through a variety of techniques.
A couple places you might want to look.

luticia respectfully, in the domain of science his vocal style is highly perfected, for clarity, slow pronounciation of multisyllabic words, and for accomplishing his purpose of relevant crucial information transfer.

He does take a bit to get to his point, but his pronunciation is fine. Rather listen to him than someone from the British Isles, now they are tough to understand, even though they speak English! I am of British decent, so I am not cutting down the British, but they can butcher up the English language!

People who get the least harmful UV radiation(sun light) on their skin live the longest do the best.Harmful UV radiation or Sun is the major cause of premature ageing, sunburn, eye damage, and skin damage leading to skin cancer. Countries who get the least sun live the longest such as Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Canada, Japan. Countries who get the most sun live the shortest such all countries on the equator. The more sun you get on your skin the shorter you live on the average.

Correlation is not causation.its an important scientific principle.its not scientific to claim that the sunshine is solely responsible for life expectancy in differnt geogrpaphical areas.there is a multitude of other factors to adjust to.
