It is funny how aqua made fun and laughed at Kazuma for his life and death on earth but she turned out to be 100 times more pathetic than he is.
Whats even better is that Kazuma has made something of himself after his reincarnation. He has defeat not 1 but 3 devil king generals something not even OP Mitsurugi has been able to achieve. Aqua? Can't even get her own followers to believe her she is their goddess.
I really love that part in the light novel (I think its the light novel) where Kazuma splits from the party and forms a new one and all the girls make fun of him but then when he does wonderfully with his new team they literally beg him to come back.
I mean... Kazuma is the only competent one...
the others got at most 2 tricks their good for. Darkness. Meat-shield, (and Oppai) Megumin, one-time crowd control.. Aqua purification and Anti-Undead.....
Actually Aqua should be the second most competent of the party.. And doesn't she have the highest stats?

I actually heard that in the light novel (or manga.) Kazuma left the party for a while.. and teamed up with actual good people from another party.. and he was doing really really well. making cash, xp and everything..

I actually love this part of the story. And it is the comedy but it also is the over line message that people are missing: “the institute vs the faith”. Okay? You see Aqua is the goddess that they worship in their religion but the interpretation is handed down by an institution created by very powerful people who have twisted the power the loyalty to be to the institute NOT to the God they are supposed to represent.
This is exactly like in real life where you see any and all creators of a movement whether religious or political being misrepresented by powerful institutions that would lose their powers if the person they represented actually showed up and took away their influence.
It’s like imagine if Martin Luther King showed up right now from the grave and said that rap music is a horrible thing to represent black people culture.
Or if Karl Marx suddenly woke up in 2022 and saw the attrocities of communism he would immediately call it an abuse and a terrible mangled mess of his interpretation of equality for all.
The thing is: institutions have always built on the popularity and strength of their founders and like most institutions they are vulnerable to corruption over years. Sometimes with good intentions sometimes with selfish intentions. The quickest road for an institutions to fall into the abyss of history is to NOT be involved in current day problems. Because saying something like : “well I am pretty sure that Nikola Tesla wouldn’t have had an opinion about censorship of the internet” is too boring and predictable for normal people each day.
This even happened to Jesus in the gospels
