    To state the obvious, doing what they did in constructing that compound was an immense task. Everything from the concept to the logistics are admirable.

      People keep talking about jones did this but will say blaque people need to take responsibility for there own actions in life an not blame influencers like racist whhte people in the unite state’s government who put drugs in our communities but your saying Jim jones is to blame for killing 900 people when he didn’t directly kill anybody now that contradicts the take responsibility for your own actions if your blaming jones for the 900 people who died when he didn’t inject anybody he never shot the congress man so how did he kill anybody ?

    Thank you for this video. All i can usually find is airplane shots of Jonestown with the little white roofs and the pavilion. But i like that you showed what it actually looked like other than those pics. It looked like a beautiful town considering they did it all by hand. And the intent was beautiful. Its just so sad that Jones had to ruin it all.

    • @jordanbarclay4434
      @jordanbarclay4434 Год назад

      Jones intent was something else but he’s a deceptive racist just like his ancestors so he told them it’s for this when it was for something else got them to do what he wanted to said take your life’s but the blame directly goes to the adults who listened to him I won’t blame jones for everything cause he didn’t do anything he didn’t murder nobody there the moms killed there babies

    I’m late to this convocation but it looks like these pictures were taken right after the bodies were removed , however there are pictures online that show Jonestown in 1979 almost 1 year later and all the buildings and everything were still in good condition. I did research and from what I found is that Jonestown was used for some time by the GDF for training purposes, and supposedly the Jonestown was intact going into the mid 1980s, then I read that there was a fire sometime in early 1985 during the dry season that burned some of the cottages down, then shortly after that locals started dismantling the remaining structures and hauled away the tin and the wood to use for other things. i wish there were pictures from the early 80s but i cannot seem to find any pictures later than 1979.

      This place was looted as soon as everyone was gone! The villagers stole anything that was left there! They dismantled the houses and used the materials for their own shacks, or if they were lucky they stole the entire cottage! They took anything and everything that they could get there hands on! Just the roofs on the cottages were in high demand, because the people there were (and probably still are) so poor they just lived in shacks! You actually think anything was left there??! This is like building a community and leaving it in the Bronx! 😂🤣

      Jones' expert manipulation was in using the bible to denounce the bible in it's own words -- a source of confusion to his parishioners that gradually over time desensitized them and made them very easy to control. His "The Letter Killeth" is a textbook example of this.

    • @lancebaylis3169

      I guess I'm saying likewise that the truth is in the real Word, which is why to avoid the charlatans it's important to read the bible and not let it be interpreted for you.

      I wound up turning the volume down. There are more interesting people to listen to talking about Jonestown. Jackie Speier, Tim Reiterman and the sound technician ( can't remember his name ) who survived the shooting at the airstrip are very good at retelling the story. Leslie Wagner Wilson who escaped with her son and a few others into the jungle the morning of the mass suicide/murder is very interesting to listen to as is the late Vernon Gosney. The gentleman speaking on this is using a lot of words to say nothing.

      Most of the photos were probably taken in 1979. After the murders. There are no signs of life. Just destruction and what was left after the elements (and looters) took their toll. Of course some photos were archival photos of the place when it was occupied, but some were taken a year after the massacre.
