  • You know you need more end-to-end testing, but at what cost? In this demo session we show how you can save developers time, increase their productivity, and ensure your team can catch issues closer to code authoring time by leveraging Playwright. If your company has CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment), you will be able to integrate Playwright tests directly into your engineers’ code flow with automated testing ensuring regressions are caught before they impact you.
This live demo session was delivered as a part of Microsoft Build in Seattle in May 2023.

Classic, Playwright test failing for no reason even for a Microsoft developer 😂
This is the most accurate showcase of Playwright I have ever seen.

Finnaly something that rival Cypress on developer-friendlyness.

Amazing tool. Better than AI. I am joyous to think all the hours I will spare going forward simply by not having to use testing-playground extension or website to get the best possible dom selectors and writting my own assertions.
In fact, I might just do a proof-of-concept plus demo on my company's web dashboard, which does lack some tests!
Sweet, I was already half-sold on Playwright over Cypress because of test speed and easier setup. However, this feature is worth the world. Won't think twice when setting up new projects. Altough I must say I quite enjoy Cypress syntax a tiny bit more.

Asserting 448 usd fixed is not a good idea. When ever price of that item changes your test will fail. You should assert instead that total 4 units of same item are in the cart by using unique identifier of the item.

It's almost like this is a contrived example to demonstrate the features of Playwright and nothing more.

He never answered the first question. How is it that no one knows about Playwright? The rest is for developers. Testers do things like a human. Humans are unpredictable. Thus you need to have a human doing the testing. Automation is fine for things that have been in place. The key thing here is that they released code into production without testing because someone told them that only a minor change was made. Thus, creating production being broken.

codegen doesn't prioritize ID's so even if your application has ID's codegen simply ignores them, because playwright devs want to be edge lords

If testing is so hard, why companies first suck testers and why testers get paid less than devs?

@@Somfic Maybe he wants to meet her to simply learn more about Playwright? Maybe he wants to meet her and start dating and eventually marry her? Everyone meets each other online these days. In any case, he didn't say anything out of line.
