Yes, we're having a war. But not like Ukraine. At least Ukraine has an Army to fight back the invasion. But in Myanmar, the resistance forces are People supported by the people for the people. Still United Nothing and the world is helping Ukraine but not us. Myanmar only receives Statements instead of Actual Help. Our lives matter too.

I can explain some timelines to you to understand a bit more about the situation - * 1948-1961 Rule by democratic government but struggling with civil war * 1962-2015 Rule by military dictators also struggling with civil war * 2016-2020 Rule by democratic government also struggling with civil war (There was an election in 2015, NLD won and the military accepted the result) * 2021-present Rule by military dictator and the civil war is a real big deal now (There was an election in 2020, NLD won, the military didn't accept the result and staged a coup) You might ask why the military didn't accept the result in 2021 but they accepted the result in 2016. There are many reasons and one of the main reason is they feel that they are slowly losing the power.

There are various ethnic armed groups (the guys in military uniforms) who have been fighting the Myanmar government since 1950's. People need to know and understand what is going on in Myanmar, and what is at stake for the people. Gen Z are the bravest in Myanmar, and they have the most to lose and to gain when fighting for freedom.

Myanmar military is controlling the whole country and compress minority ethnic group since the first coup in 1962. There are lots of Ethnic Armed Group rebelling Myanmar military. Situation in myanmar is very complicated. The most well-known ethnic cleansing event is recent rohingya crisis but this kind of situation has been happening to other ethnic groups since a long time ago. We believe that if we can take down that brutal organization, most problems will be solved. Myanmar has a bad reputation because of the actions of Military. Plus, there are enormous misunderstanding between burma and other ethnic groups. Other countries misunderstand that we, myanmar people, hate rohingya and cleanse them. But the real problem is Military. All the problems are due to their actions to take over the whole country as long as they can.
Another thing to know about the civil war that started in 2021 is just a new civil war.The civil war in myanmar has been going on for a total of 75 years now.Ever since the military junta took over the government things never stayed the same.The cause of the civil war in 2021 is because of the imprisonment of the leader of the elected National League for Democracy or NLD in short in the 2020 election.Since then there has been many battles where the military junta has lost and the civil war is still ongoing until the military junta falls.Currently there has been news about males unable to leave the country to study abroad and everything.Also myanmar currently takes the cake in having the longest civil war in the world.

Every ethnic has their own organized militia and have been fighting against the dictators for decades... but, after the 2021 coup, civilians have joined these ethnic militias and resistance fighters... 95 percent of the Myanmar population have supported them and they are considered freedom fighters... not rebels

I can explain some timelines to you to understand a bit more about the situation -
