finally a suitable thumbnail for my actual content
it's been a while! how are you guys in quarantine!!! this meme was originally planned to be mao's debut song WAAY back in may last year, but i ran out of ideas and oyasumi become his debut... i tried making it again from scratch. hope you all like it!

I love how monotone these panels are, they always seem so fashionably minimalist.
theory/explanation/don't listen to me i'm stupid:
mao is a cannibal. (duh) he finds out after he kills a woman in michigan and eats her to get rid of the evidence (the rest of her remains are hidden in a maintenance closet in a department store, where mao had worked. we know he is there because of the pipes and dark room they are in at 0:08 ). since then he's been feasting on innocent people (mostly girls) for his delight. meanwhile, the sister of the first victim had been learning about him, researching who had murdered her sister ( thus the images connected together by string at 0:43 ) she says they have met before because of her connection to her sister, emotionally and because they shared their looks (identical twins) . when she finds where he is, she looks at herself in the mirror, thinking what to do about him. she is haunted by visions of him ( 0:27 ) and needs to end it. one day she comes into his apartment and hides among his dinner to sneak in. ( she in hiding next to dead girls, you see at 0:28 that there is only one pair of eyes open/alive (that's her). she introduces herself as a new neighbor. she sees a family photo ( 0:47 ) where he and his sister are together, with a father who's face is missing. she now understands why he killed her sister specifically, she had done something that had caused the father to leave/do something that made the family want to forget him. she has no mercy though, killing him to end the pain. ( 0:57 )

I've listened to this song so many times before and just happen to stumble upon your animation version. I love it so much! I haven't gotten deep into the lore of your works yet, but from this single video, I'd say it's intriguing enough for me to watch more of your videos and know further. I know Possibly in Michigan will be used as a meme song at some point because of its similar vibes with Jack Stauber's works, but this animation really brings me back to the original vibes of the music video! This is from a short movie, you can watch it on RUclips, it's called "Possibly in Michigan" i believe
there is a vocaloid song though that was inspired by albert fish. he was a child killer and cannibal. the song secrets of wysteria was inspired by him and actually has a reading of a letter he wrote to the family of a little girl he killed and ate in reverse at the end of the song

I think he killed his sister out of jealousy. If you look in the family picture 0:46 you can see his sister has a graduation cap on and is holding her diploma while he is looking upset with a bandaid on his face (which makes me think that the father beat him or something?).
i can promise you in Michigan we don't have cannibals, please do not be scared of the people from my state

My theory

The blonde girl was taken in for questioning because she was a friend. She sneaks into his home and hides amongst the victims. Which explain the eyes being open. And he finds her but can't bring himself to kill her. She stays with him and at the end he falls asleep on her lap. She then kills him to stop the murders.

She is then in the oyasomi video murdered by him after annoying him with her singing.she then haunts him with her spirit lingering in the room she died. Singing.

this video is so like... catchy ? i know that sounds odd but everytime i see it or think of it i watch it again and again, and i know its going to stick with me because i watched it the day i moved to a new place (ironically in michigan !). i really love the art and subtle, yet in your face hints and details of the video. it tells you a story, but doesn't give everything away or tells you directly whats going on, and i think that's a wonderful skill to have in animation/story telling. i've watched you for a while and i've seen almost all of your mao content, and i absolutely love cannibalistic characters. there's a lot of possibilities to go off with this trait and many dynamics you could play with ! i love your art and your characters, so seeing you upload oc stuff makes me extremely happy !!! love ya boun !!!
