In this video, I compiled a list of some of the funniest and weirdest 1.17 / 1.16 Minecraft tips and tricks / life hacks to see if they actually work in the game... Most of them didn't, but it was pretty fun testing them out. These fake Minecraft tips and tricks definitely reminded me of all the fake Minecraft speedruns I have reacted to in the past, and the ones that actually WORKED reminded me of the Minecraft handbooks...

Fake Minecraft speedruns inspired me to make this video, AS WELL AS LOVERFELLA! ( Big shoutout to @LoverFella !) These Minecraft 1.16 / 1.17 tips and trips / life hacks TikToks are really weird and funny, but pretty insane and crazy too.

Yo Linus these hacks don’t work because you’re playing on the wrong version of Minecraft, try the ones that didn’t work on the bedrock version of Minecraft and they should work

edit: I watched slightly further into the video, both portal block bugs are for bedrock

The trick to maim the pillager can actually be useful, because since pillagers have a bigger scare radius than zombies, you can create more efficient iron farms with the same amount of villagers, without the pillager being able to shoot them.

1:54 this technique is essential for all efficient iron farms...
The first trick works in bedrock I’ve done it before and it’s also important that you look somewhat upwards when doing it because if you look straight forward or down you fall. So maybe that’s why it didn’t work on Java

The most tricks like the Zipline only work on Bedrock.
1:20 the reason it didn't work is because it is a bedrock exclusive glitch
and you are right
most of the clips are in bedrock edition and you’re playing Java so they do probably work at least in bedrock
The way to get a Nether Portal in Survival works on Bedrock Edition
1:14 For that lifehack to work, you have to press the space bar twice (to fly in the creative)

How to find out, that something is on bedrock:
1. Enchantments.
At 3:25 Someone holds his sword, under the name you can see it's enchantments, that only works on bedrock.
2. Inventory. Not much to say.
3. Chat and Position and Paperdoll. They appear in the top left corner.
4. Theres no cross-hair.
5. Connected block textures are nonexistent. Theres no current texturepack that allows connected block textures to work on bedrock

The zip line one does actually work btw, it works for bedrock not Java, just another bug/exploit. It actually worked on the ps3 aquatic update too lol

Maybe try them in bedrock edition, that’s a pretty buggy game and it’s ever so slightly likely to work there than in java.
He uses java and not bedrock, most of the hacks only work on bedrock

Tamed pillager are great for iron golem farms due to the fact that pillagers have a bigger scare range than zombies also they cant hurt the villagers

I have a shulker box full of portal blocks in my survival realm on bedrock edition.
One: The farm only works on bedrock.
Two: The farm only works when there is some lag on the server, and my realm used to be super laggy.
I dont know if it still does but the first trick did work in bedrock but idk about java or if they removed it

*the best tip I have for You is to make a random seed pause look at the seed copy it go to main menu make a new world In creative with that seed & search for milestones in completion & rout Your plan to finish in the survival version* .

I think the portal one needs to be done on bedrock edition. Same with the end portal one. Haven't tried it myself though.
for the 2nd one, the pillager still scares vilagers so can be used in iron farms
For the last one, if you active an tnt then hold a looting sword it acually make the tnt having the looting effect🤣
The getting end gateway one used to be possible in bedrock edition and so as the nether portal on but I don't think it was in the same way

the thing is like for the nether portal one, its on bedrock, you can tell by the black outline in the name of the items which was added in 1.16 bedrock
For the zip line it does work but you have to look up while you go on it or go into 3rd person front then look up a little it does work.
Why do some people so easily forget that different versions of Minecraft work very differently?

The guy who claimed you can get a nether portal block wasn't lying. I play Bedrock Edition. You need to be in survival and have a silk touch pickaxe to do it. Only Windows 10 Edition though.

Also the grass trick for diamonds while that is fake there are some similar tricks with it that are true, basically having to do with how the game generates the world, Ik there was one with clay in a specific pattern would mean diamonds underneath due to generation but can’t remember what the pattern was

1:55 high efficiency iron farms...
So for the first "hack" it actually does work, I discovered it by accident but I used a netherack trail kinda, and floated along the bottom of it, but you have to look up above the horizon, or else you fall.
ALL of the ones that didn't work used to work on bedrock edition but now it doesn't in the new update
For most of these like the zip line have either been patched or you need to use bedrock edition and not java
Once i hada minecraft world where i beat the ender dragon, but the dragon egg duplicated itself, there was one on the podium but there was also a broken on eon the ground

The Zipline does work! I didn't believe it either so I tried it. It Is kind-of hard to do tho as you need to look up while going across

The very first one and many others I believe might be only for bedrock.
im also pretty sure that obtaining portal blocks is possible in bedrock, although i have not tried it

The mincraft tricks like the portal block, zip line, end portal block are bed rocks features you can tell by the item when it gets scrolled to it has a black box around the name of item and enchantments
The zipline was / is an actual minecraft glitch on bedrock (worked with any block, not just chains).
Also, the portal block is a known glitch of bedrock (still has portal item minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Nether_Portal_(block)#Obtaining), eg. ruclips.net/video/vDiMXez5fWU/видео.html
Wouldn't also be surprised if the end portal block and half of the other ones work on bedrock as well (haven't checked them) since most of the videos are clearly on bedrock and you are on java.
Literally the only one that doesn't work is digging down randomly (as far as I can tell).
the portal thing mainly works on realms in mt experience
There is actually a way to find where diamonds are based on clay, but I don’t know exactly how it works

The zip line does work I did it on pocket Edition but it still worked. You need to look lightly up toward the chains tho
