  • It's hard work but I really enjoyed making :-)
    This project started when I was 15 years old, and it finished 6 years and 4 months later.
    I built this model when I was an amateur builder.
    Scale: 1/40 (1/1 for minifig)
    Length: 6.6 meters (22 feet)
    Width: 1.0 meter (3 feet)
    Time to complete: 6 years and 4 months
    Parts: 200,000 LEGO elements
    Weight: 150 kilograms (330 pounds)
    You can see more photos there.

    You got skills man and extreme amounts of patients to pull off this kind of project. People that are outside of the lego world don't know that patients comes first before anything else. 99% of the people in this world thinks to themselves that money, available lego inventory, determination, picturing, planning, picking the right custom parts/legos, are the most important steps in a build like this. The glue to make all these steps come together is patients. Without that, most adventures builds fail because of the time it takes to perfect all the little details that will make a project stick out of all the rest. You my man have all that!!!!!!

    Yamato was damaged by US dive bombers but sunk by torpedo bombers. Bombs let in air but torpedoes let in water and you sink a ship by filling it with water.

    • @andreasmuller4765
      @andreasmuller4765 10 лет назад

      But bombs can shoot a chi to scrap and the USS Arizona was destroyed by a bomb. A good hit and the ship is history.

    • @denisetrine3066
      @denisetrine3066 10 лет назад

      Andreas Müller The Arizona was hit by a bomb dropped from around 10,000 feet. Not from a dive bomber. The bomb needs the time to build up speed in order to penetrate. The problem you run in to is you can't hit a moving ship this way.

    • @andreasmuller4765
      @andreasmuller4765 10 лет назад

      ***** But the Hornet was hit by bombs and kamikazes and the americans were forced to give up their carrier.

    • @denisetrine3066
      @denisetrine3066 10 лет назад

      Andreas Müller The Hornet (CV-8) also took 2 torpedoes which left her without power and dead in the water. Carriers don't have the deck armour of a battleship. Did you know the Arizona wasn't hit by a bomb? The Japanese took a naval shell added fins and dropped it from a torpedo bomber from around 10,000 feet. Do you know what ship the shell came from?

    • @andreasmuller4765
      @andreasmuller4765 10 лет назад

      ***** Now let's have a look at "Operation Crossroads". A lot of ship sunk by only one bomb. Of course it was no normal bomb but this bomb let more in than only air.
