    1 Samuel 15:1-10
    The Lord Rejects Saul
And Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over his people Israel; now therefore listen to the words of the Lord. 2 Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I have noted what Amalek did to Israel in opposing them on the way when they came up out of Egypt. 3 Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction[a] all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
4 So Saul summoned the people and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand men on foot, and ten thousand men of Judah. 5 And Saul came to the city of Amalek and lay in wait in the valley. 6 Then Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart; go down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. 7 And Saul defeated the Amalekites from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt. 8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword. 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep and of the oxen and of the fattened calves[b] and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them. All that was despised and worthless they devoted to destruction.

The word of God is sharper than any 2 edged sword ... yes, when sin is tolerated it permits it to grow but when dealt with a death blow in Christ, it diminishes totally, bcos Christ has overcome sin n death. Salvation is in Christ n Christ alone.

Great sermon. I was looking for an explanation for this chapter as it is quite violent and unlike the love of God. But I now understand the message and the history of that verse.
    Thank you

AMEN. Yes, demons know of the gospel. And yes, we have to repent of Every sin no matter how “small” cause if just one sin is not blotted out of the books, it won’t be covered by Christ’s blood. Thank you pastor for preaching the truth in this sermon!

God Bless you, my brother for allowing God to use you to preach this hard lesson. Powerful Powerful truths and so much more packed into this message, especially what I’ve been wrestling with on “association being acceptance!” I’ve recently questioned the scripture in 1 Corinthians 5:11 on not eating with a brother who is doing specific sins. Your expounding on this for church discipline has shown me that I have much to pray about and all the more as we see The Day approaching. I pray that many will listen to this message and that God will move on believer’s hearts. We must come out from among the world and be separated unto our mighty God! To God be all of the glory and praise.

This perspective on this passage is absolutely necessary, and I thank you for leading me to repentance.
I think another perspective can be applied-the Lord will call us out of this world in the rapture before he punishes those who have not submitted to Him and continue to war against Him. God bless you Pastor Batarseh.
Please pray for my son X who is at Wheaton C and needs to repent as directed in this Scripture and Message.

Happy New Year brothers and sisters!! I just wanted to comment on what a beautiful illustration of the pastors teaching about the Kenites versus the Amalekites as it goes back to the promise of God to Abram in Genesis 12:3 That he would bless those who bless Abram curse those who curse him.
Pastor Daniel, Your teachings are a great source of conviction, growth, comfort, direction, and instruction for me and I am so blessed to have been lead to your teaching. Thank you I will be praying for you!

I have been enjoying your Bible study a lot, I have enjoyed in your insight on Gods word but if you will allow me I must bring this correction fourth because this is HUGE to follow the genealogy, this is part of the key David. The KENITES are the offspring of CAIN. This is huge for two reasons I’ll give this first for this chapter study and then I’ll give you the second that ties to Revelations. The reason it’s so important to know this for this chapter, in Num 24: 18-22 is Gods curse that He puts on Amalek as well as the Kenites for this great sin that they did to Israel. Yes Exo 17:8 and Due 25:17-19 tells of their sin but Num 24: 18-22 tells of Gods judgement. I hope you can see that God didn’t tell or warn the Kenites, Saul did and we can all agree that Saul wasn’t walking a great line of discernment. And a side note Amalek is Esau’s grandson which just emphasizes the generations of sin that you spoke of.
My 2nd point about the Kenites of why it is so important for us to know who they are is Rev 2:9 and Rev 3:9 this is who Christ is speaking of when He says these two churches know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not. If you look up in your Strongs concordance Jew is a person from the tribe of Judah or have residents in their land. So they claim they are a Jew because they live among them, they are a resident of the land. Not to go down a rabbit hole here but all 12 tribes are not Jews they are Israelites, they were only called Jews when they were residents of the land, Judah is the Jewish tribe of the 12 tribes. But to bring this full circle for you in 1 Chronicles 2:55 the Kenites actually became scribes to the Jews, that’s how they play. You will notice all through the Bible you will see them sticking to the Jews to deceive Gods people. In Ezra 8:15- 18 when he is bringing them out of Babylon, back to their land he stops and looks and there is not 1 Levitical priest amount them, but what was there were the Nethinim ( a lot Kenites mixed in with them) playing priest. I believe this is how we have so much false teaching in the church today because in Joshua 9 he messed up and made an oath to them. Why did that happen because they used trickery on Joshua and the people. Is that not Satans ways of operation still to this day and I will say until Revelations. I hope this brings more insight on who they are and what they are doing. If you see that I have made a error in my understanding please feel free to show me scriptures of where I went wrong. We are all her to try to learn and have the best understanding of God’s truth so if I have misspoke please correct me. God bless.
I’m sorry I have to add this one thing the Kenites were NOT RELATED to Moses by marriage. Again super important to follow the genealogy and not just what is always stated in the Bible ( remember the Kenites were scribes , Jer 8:8 How can you say, we are wise, for we have the law of the Lord, when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely ) Gen 25:1-4 Abraham remarried after Sarah passed to a lady named Keturah. She had 7 sons by Abraham and vs 4 the sons of Midian Exo 3:1 Moses was tending sheep with is father in law the priest of Midian. For his father in law to be a priest of Midian he had to be from that lineage as well as Gen 46: 32-34. Moses would not have been allowed under Gods law to marry a non Adomic person. They only called him a Kenite because of residential location, he lived among them. Exo 18:1 as well shows this. I hope I explained this well but I feel genealogy is a bit boring but it is of such importance in Gods word! This may be an elementary explanation but the way I look at Gods word is He wants us to see the war between His family and Satans. To be loyal and protective of His family and to be able to do that you have to know who is His lineage by blood so you will know who the tares are. I think Christ makes that clear when the only two churched He didn’t find fault in was the two who claimed to be Jews but are liars.
