I'm a first year med student ... and I I just wanted to know accommodation ! The more I read the more impressed I get by how there is so much to the eye !!! Now that u wrote that I gotta go and look what pilocarpine is ..
i guess Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Louie Dustin i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
hello i have a question => when we accomodate posterior zonule fibers which connected from posterior portion of lens to ciliary muscles are in tight stete or loose state ... thanks
I wonder what happens to all these processes after cataract surgery, because I seem to experience some anomalys in my peripheral vision when focusing close after surgery in only one eye ?
Remember, a long standing, uncorrected hyperope will complain once they are correct with glasses because when they remove their glasses, the lens shape can no longer return to its previous state of full accommodation as easily or not to the same extent…hence, they complain the glasses made their eyes worse…it’s a paradox. Sometimes this may happen in a day or after deep sedation after general surgery for another condition.
do you mean why does the duration of action last differently by different routes of administration? depending upon the area of action, medications have different effects. An example is inhaled glucocorticoid (fluticasone/flonase) for the lungs versus topical glucocorticoid (cortizone 10), they have different duration of action because different administration route
Still unclear,You can try this- The anterior end of ciliary muscle is fixed, the lens is attached with posterior part of the muscle,,, If the muscle contracts by parasympathetic action> it pulls the lens forward and as the eye ball is globular, the lens get itself in a less space>traction on suspensory ligament decrease>LENS BECOME GLOBULAR During relaxation by sympathetic or parasympathetic blocker,The muscle comes posteriorly>Lens get more space(as eyeball is round)>Traction in suspensory ligament increased>lens become flattened
So, and now... Why can't we see close up when we get older.. Is the lens getting stiff... ? So the contraction of the ciliary muscle cannot change the lens making it thicker.. ? And is needing negative glasses when we grow as a child,.. follow up for not enough relaxing of the muscle anymore. I don't talk about being born with farsight..
I am not versed in medical terminology and got here out of curiosity in this particular function of the eyes. Listening to the video was a bit like listening to this one: ruclips.net/video/aW2LvQUcwqc/видео.html
watching a 1 min animation is more effective than struggling with the words in the textbook for 1 hour!!! thank u!!
FINALLY an animated video of how the muscles move !
I was wondering how contracting muscles made the Lens Thicker all this time
Same
Hahahahah same here
I have been struggling with this almost 10 years. Now I understand. Thank you sincerely.
Same! Great video!
same haaha
EXACTLY what i was looking for, beautiful ultra-high resolution image, very fitting for the subject, thanks so much
and its for 11 years ago, super immersed
Dr. Goldberg deserves standing ovations for this one!
This is the best explanation of accommodation
Cheers
Finally, something that makes sense. Thank you
I was having difficulty understanding how the adverse effects of pilocarpine can occur. This helped so much! Thank you!

@Louie Dustin it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my account :D
@Gregory Emmitt You are welcome xD
This is the first time I really understand how it works thank you 🙏
That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks a lot!
but how is that contraction? arent the cilliary muscles moving forward
That's what confuses me.

I found this very helpful. Thanks.
It's sad how this explains how the eye works better then my GCSE book...
What is Gcse
thank you, this is great explanation!!
Who else is watching this using their own eyes?
🙁 I wish I could 🥺
I don't have eyes 😭
Oh no I was using my dog's eyes
Fuck man I am watching this by my eyes, how this is possible
Is it natural or something phenomenon 😮
no i am using my neighbour eye 😊
You are seeing it with the help of your ass.
I guess.😂
I finally understand!!! Thank you 🥳🥳
now that's a million dollar worth of video!!
Gracias por la magnifica explicación, felicidades
That was really short and helpful 👏🏻
How to get the full version of this video?
thank you for such an informative video
I had an exam and I wanted to make sure whether the tendons relax first or do the lens shrins ????

is there anyway to strenthen weak suspensory ligaments eye
So it is settled then, this long standing debate between the two hypothesis
Excellent ... well done ...
very informative ,, the best i have seen
Why is the pupil changing?
I just have one question. What muscular cilliary job exactly?
increases and decreases the thickness of the lens
what is the thickness of ciliary lens

very good vid for my understanding eyes accommodation

Best one on accommodation, thanks
Thanks...very good demo

Any idea how someone (42yo) may reverse presbyopia permanently without surgery or corrective eyewear? I'm looking for a solution 🙏🏻
thank you, finally i understand it

Ciliary muscle contract-lens thicken-ligaments slacken
Anyone else can do this voluntarily?
