I laughed every time he said "Þú ert heppinn" ("You're lucky").

Do everyone just see this as a story about the man that is actually on the back, sure it's called man on the back. But the story is equally about the man who is carrying. Sure it is with that message about people who dont do anything. But it feels like it will encourage prejudice against people who arent like him but are unemployed or disabled. I think its very interesting to see the story about extreme codependency on both ends in this short film.

Why there is not any sequel?..Really would be exciting to see what happens with the other man he is riding on....or how many more men he mounts back of?....For how long?

Oh I don't see this as funny ha ha at all. Imho it's an analogy of something quite serious, and actually, truth be told, it's a bit distressing. In the same way as anyone who has suffered depression 'gets' Eraserhead instantly - this little short demonstrates what it's like to carry someone psychologically who isn't helping themselves. And I don't mean those people who are legitimately suffering or in need (including the mentally ill), and I don't think it's necessary political either. I think it's referring to all those miserable complaining soul-sapping lead-weight bastards out there who have nothing truly wrong in their life, but insist on putting a negative spin on everything in order to procrastinate, shirk responsibility, and drag everyone down along with them to their own festering dark pit of self-created despair. People more like the delightful Livia Soprano (Tony Soprano's mother in the US series). People who, when you think of them, your shoulders just slump and you let out one exasperated exhale and close your eyes. If you've never met one, good for you, don't seek one out. If you think you know one, for god sake don't go near them out of curiosity, even just to poke them with a stick, and especially if you have a naturally pessimistic or depressive nature, or like pleasing people beyond the point of politeness. If you're stuck with one already, then you've probably already nodded and smiled to yourself and favourited this video. Sufficed to say, I've carried a few in my time, thus I also raise a glass to everyone out there who is stuck with one they can't shake off. Personally, I think you have to burn them off, like verruccas. Hér endar gífuryrði, sorry, takk.

is this islandic humor?? or maybe i just dont get it?? i mean.,...whats so funny about a man, fooling other people so he can be carried on their back?? The guy in the end even lend him money although the "invalid guy" say, that he never has any money on his own....( why would you loan money to a stranger who tells you, that he never has any money himself????)
this is weird....in fact i think pollen numbers are more exiting!
