    This is easily one of, if not the best forcible entry videos I’ve seen so far. As a rookie firefighter who’s in class now, and coming close to the forced entry session of my class, this helps a lot to give me an edge for class and when on the fireground. Very well done!

    In response to all of the NON-constructive criticism.... If I was on the other side of the door needing rescued I would want that amount of enthusiasm, teamwork and strength coming after me. BOOM!!! Great work brothers!!

    We use a flat 6foot digging bar with a wedge welded to the bottom to get though custom made it more leverage and can still be hit with sleigh if need too.

    I think that adding a long hook would be a good addition to this, as some of those grabs were a little tenuous. That extra five or six feet of leverage might have shortened a few of these entries by minuites. But, it's all about what you have on hand! If all you have is a married pair, there are very few doors that you can't eventually breach.

    8:26 and the standing fireman almost brought the forked end of the halligan down near the head of his partner and a few seconds later actually striking his knee. but on a call the adrenaline and circumstances could easily have brought them into contact more forcefully. or is it just a trick of perception and the camera angle? nice work guys.

    A HydraRam would make many of these easier. I invested it about 25 years ago after a dream I had one night. They made me an honorary fireman and I travel the world showing how to use it. I donate all the money to 911 FDNY families so I am semi homeless. What should I do? It’s getting cold out there and I’m always hungry. Any thoughts?

Drill or real life - if I ever saw my guys going yahoo with irons like this they'd be sitting in my office in a hurry, if not in an ER getting a few stitches in the face. Sadly guys, I'll be using your video as a bad example.

      I don't know why people are arguing with you. I have to assume the the people making comments are volunteer whackers. Anyway, they're going at it way too aggressively, and breaking another person's shoulder or knocking out teeth isn't going to help you force the door. There's a big difference between fast and smooth, and this was fast. A lot of the tactics were pretty sound, though. I think the adze is a little more effective than the forks once you get that initial purchase point, but their method works great, too.

  • @DF-si7xx

    I'm not sure why you don't keep your forcible entry techniques videos private for the firefighters or security professionals. You are teaching all the thieves how to break in record time thank you for your free training, very responsible on your part.

    • @BicyclesMayUseFullLane
      @BicyclesMayUseFullLane 3 года назад

      Because "security through obscurity" has always worked and Halligan bar is classified matériel. /s
      Look, forcible entry that makes a huge racket is probably not thieves' primary choice for infiltration, and if they do use this one, it's clear thah they know what they are doing and they have the means to obtain a Halligan bar (last time I checked it's like 100$-ish). And if your security setup hinges on a metal door with a drop bar, then your security setup frankly sucks.

      But would it be more reliable? When its a life/death situation I think they choose methods they are certain will force the situation, rather then running the risk they might not have say the correct lock pick tool or key set-up. Otherwise, most fire-departments do have key access to many buildings in a city.
