As far as I am concerned the show needed Logan. His story and acting was the most interesting, intense, thrilling, heartbreaking, tragic and most of all he added a sexual chemistry to the show that blows my mind. He never apologized for his behavior, he accepted who he was - a jackass at time and a hero at times. He walked that perfect line of dark/light. I will stop at the movie just because I've already read about Season 4 and hate what I've read. Thank you for your videos - it's easier to watch this that to restart each season just to skip ahead to the scenes where Veronica and Logan have scenes together which I've done too many times to count.
That look and smile at the Lily Kane dedication/memorial fountain sealed it for me. I knew they would fall in love. It was written all over his face. The way he changed with her, the way he let her in. He broke down in her arms, after he got drunk at TEotH dance and kept looking back at her, the way he beat the hell out of a govt agent with no concern of his own safety just because she was in danger. I love Logan so much. I could go on and on and on about him. And since 21 isnt here because it was a hard episode, the way Logan stood up for Veronica when they were discovered was the sweetest thing ever.
Well he was supposed to be endgame for her, but this is why acting is so great - chemistry between people counts for so much. Plus Jason did Logan's character so well he made all of us fall inlove with him

Ahh I just finished S1 and Logan's whole arc and progression broke me. ;-; His actor really was one of the best. I just want good things for this boy ;; That line where he goes "but most of all I blame myself", it just really explains why he was such a jerk at the beginning and how he was dealing with his grief. Ahh why couldn't this boy catch a break :((
Yes, but also without Veronica to pick up on who he is, no one else would have and he wouldve forever been underwhelming. It was only with her and because of her and around her that he comes across as a man and not merely a sour boy. She gets his references and none of his other friends get very many of his witticisms. When youre actually intelligent, you need someone else intelligent to see you.
The first few episodes I thought they’d be enemies the entire series. I love that their romance was a slow build and eventually made sense character wise.
For me, the teen movies and series between 1995 and 2005 were very special.The showrunners didn't only count on the archetyps to make strong personalities or creat subvertion. But the dialogues and the ambiance empowered the characters and nourrished their singularities. ( And it makes me think of the Buckley's song "So real"….) You know a movies is well made when you are able to forget the actors and see the characters. And When you watch Veronica falling in love with Logan, you trust it because all the script made you feel how strong and smart she had to become: No matter what, She follows her own path, that's her Kind, and you can feel it ! I think Veronica Mars had one of the best dialogues of the 2000's. And it was one of the last show which carried this kind of vibes. Et personnellement, c'est une période qui m'a enormémnent impacté et dont je continue à ressentir les effets.

I feel like that’s how u know that all the jabs didn’t really mean anything, is bc as soon as anything’s actually serious like with Lily, or his mom they soften immediately and behave like actual friends. They had their ups and downs at the beginning, all explainable by their past. But even when he “hates her” he’s still always willing to accept her help and help her out the tiny ways he can. Bc underneath it all they’ve been friends for years.
I always loved her relationship with Logan and Weevil. I agree season 4 ruined her character and made her really toxic. It made no sense to kill him off, honestly I believe he was kidnapped due to his last deploy.

Logan is such a gem. He is and will always be one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. And Veronica never deserved him. She chose Duncan over him, then chose Piz over him. (I know she chose him eventually but still) she was always trying to change him or “fix” him. To make him the man she wanted, more of a Duncan. But she never accepted and loved the man he was. Which was a caring, kind, funny, intelligent man who loved her more then anything else in the world. Yeah he was damaged, and made mistakes. He was a human being with flaws. But he didn’t need to be fixed. He needed to be loved in return, the way he loved her. And she could never provide that for him.
She just wanted to make him a better person, and the times she chose other people over him were because if they were in a relationship at that time it would crash and burn. They both ended it at one point. But they ended up together because despite everything they went through, they still loved each other. And she did leave her other boyfriends for him soo..
Maleeha she shouldn’t have wanted to make him a better person. She should have accepted the person he was. But she never did. Which is the only reason they ever had problems, bc she didn’t trust him. Even though all he ever did was show how much he loved her.

I sort of wish the writers hadn't made him so utterly irredeemable in the first half of season one. It's a little hard to get over the fact that he used to STAGE BUM FIGHTS, and was super racist, and was cruel for the sake of being cruel.

I don’t get why anyone ever even thought Duncan was an option. From the first episode I knew it was Logan.
