You guys need to watch the (Taisho Era Secrets) at the end of the episode (it’s like an after credit scene)
15:40 yes, demon slayers get paid for slaying demons. You’re basically putting your life on the line with every mission and you have to train a lot just to pass the, in this case let’s call it entrance exam. They get paid based on the ranks and achievements. The lowest rank (Tanjiro) gets paid like about $150 per month, that though it may not seem like much we have to remember that it was money from a 100 years ago so the value was different; btw, the highest ranks gets pay whatever they want, be either money or material payment.

The Taisho era takes place in the 1920's
Watching this episode made me realize that this wasn't feudal Japan. I assumed it was, starting out, especially since I know how popular the Edo Period is in Japanese fiction, like collectively. But no, this is the Taisho era, which was from 1912-26, so this was only some hundred years ago. Far more contemporary (relatively speaking) than I'm used to.
It was fun to learn about but really felt bad, though; notice how short that era was? Emperor Taisho only lived to 47, and most of his reign as monarch was fairly inactive due to ongoing battle with health issues.

She gets to know the Sohma family, who turn out to have a curse. So Tohru's goal becomes to trying to break the curse. It's a beautiful, heartbreaking story! One of the best anime series i've ever seen!!! 😭💔🔥

See the animation quality just steadily improve I think the funding got doubled for the movie Mugen train(which is canon to the story)and seasons 2&3 even the upcoming season 4 seasons 5&6 have been confirmed they will be made into movies as well
