Absolutely remarkable work, Theo! This is a PREMIUM figure, like your others. Speaking of, it was nice to see Pogman against your TJ&E and other figs! I like the scale/size you chose.
This is epic! I love it when talent gets recognised. So great to see the journey and the problem solving involved. You’ve done a great job, I’m sure POG will be well pleased. I’ve still got my The Tick Pogs in the loft 👏👏🙌
@@SecretOfMonkeyIsland784 yesss That's one of the really cool things about pogs, even if you didn't go out of your way to buy them you acquired them in your snacks and cereal too So most people have some kind of attachment to em either way, love it
Amazing work as always, as much as I love that pogs are back, I do think the new hobbyboxes are pricey. The whole appeal back in the day was that low price point and accessibility to kids.
Awesome stuff. Pogs were one of my favourite things when i was younger. Still have them in a official pog container with the mini tournament mat. Love just taking them out now and again and just looking at them.
Woah, this is wild. I grew up in Hawaii and I had no idea pogs got so popular outside of the islands. We used to go to this giant swap meet near Honolulu and there were all kinds of pogs traders; they had these huge binders full of rare/holographic pogs and slammers you could buy. What a trip to find out this was a thing way on the other side of the world, too! Excellent sculpt and beautiful paint job. Totally looks like a factory produced toy!
Wow I'm amazed that you didn't no 😂 I'm sure it was something you guys invented with milk caps, and then it blew up world wide 🌎 as POG In the 90s in the UK I was in primary school and the pogs pandemic took over every school in England, the playground was rife with sound of slammers and it was like some pog casino, we loved em 😀 Great times
@@slimehousetv Yeah, I didn't have too many myself, if I recall correctly that was like '94 or '95 they were popular, but I did get into Pokemon cards a few years later.
Mate, this takes me back. Mid 90s, Warrington market, my mum buying me loads of KO pogs with 80s anime characters on them who I had no clue who they were (and still don't). I remember having a metal Chupa Chups slammer. Tazos. What a time to be alive.
The stiff broom bristles for whiskers are a cool solution! I feel like all the toy companies in the 90's would've done would be to have raised ridges on his upper lips, and simply paint them black. Like how Playmates (and more recently, Jakks Pacific) did Homer Simpson's hair.
this is GENIUS. Im surprised these never happened before. i bet a vintage line of POGMEN would be rife with a dozen differently themed variants. great stuff as always theo

I'm not really sure they 100% left. They just sold at novelty shops more than standard retail shops. They had rises and falls in popularity throughout their production like yo-yos, but like yo-yos, I'm not really sure they left the market entirely.
I wonder how much of a comback POGs will be. Obviously, there's the nostalgic factor, but, I dunno if kids will care as much as 80s and 90s kids/teens did. I saw they're reteaming up with major brands like Disney, Sonic, Power Rangers, etc, and that could help, but, yeah, I dunno. Either way, I'm super excited!

This is so sick dude! My grandmother brought me and my brother some POGS and slammers back from a trip she took to California in 1994, before it had gotten popular in Kentucky. But it wasn't long until other kids at my middle school were bringing them to class to trade, some even dealing them out of their lockers. The grotesque lenticular ones were my fav. I fondly remember one called "Roadkill Rabbit". Those were the days. Great work on the figure man!! You nailed it.
Man!!! Figure is 🔥🔥🔥! Oh POGS nostalgia! Remember going on holiday and seeing all the different slammers you could get! Had a weighty one with rubber grip for good measure. Was the bomb!
POGS were a decade after my Maker's "childhood years". But he understands the 'love for the thing'.... and wow, you sure did a true 'bang-up" job creating that Pogman! Ok, admittedly , that "wow" was *slightly* "forced", because ANY time you decide to create a "thing", you just DO IT. 100 percent. It's NEVER in doubt. Just LOOK at that Pog man...he's PERFECT! Thanks for everything you do, and watching this video, my younger Maker realized you are missing a few "important" buttons on your jacket, so you may get a few sent to you in the near future... Have a wonderful weekend, because you are a most wonderful human.
if POGS contacts you to make more I cant encourage you enough to run wild with the opportunity. you mentioned the ren and stimpy toyline in the video but I think classic TMNT and The Mask action figures would also be great sources of inspiration to take some cues from. While you mentioned the body of Pogman being one piece, my first thought was for a wind up ckattering teeth version of the character and another could have a spring loaded chomping gimmick. Ofcourse you also need to include one that can lauch POGS like discuses!
