Autumn is my favorite season, but September is often overlooked here in the Ozarks where we slowly transition from hot, humid late summer into a "less hot" early fall. But this year has been noticeably different: the light seems a bit more golden and the buzz of the cicadas are starting to wane and I've found myself more in tune with the winding down of summer. Your Ode to September couldn't have been more apropos. It's one of those videos I'll return to again and again.

This was lovely. We are nearly in October, but we have had floods and snow on the nearby ranges. I'm sick of the mud and cold and just want Summer! Then we'll complain when the temps get to the 30's C. Loving the sound of Blackbirds and watching the males squabble over mates. Roll on a warmer NZ Spring.
My autumn has begun with quite a bump in the road, so I found this video especially calming and meaningful, bringing back much-needed happy memories. I am glad the bustling, workmanlike atmosphere of September and later will help carry me through the challenges ahead, and, of course I can read. I have enjoyed Business As Usual, and A Fortnight in September, now I must decide what to read next. Everything should be better by Christmas, there is that to look forward to and work towards, helped by seasonal reading. Thank you for what you do.

What a beautiful video! Thank you Miranda. I love being in country side. I have a house in a village and we harvest there corn, persimmons, apples, grapes, wallnut, plums and different berries. We make different jams and compotes from fruits and berries. I like apple pie with smooth merengue on top. 🍰🍎🌽🍇🍓🍐

What a beautiful video! Thank you Miranda. I love being in country side. I have a house in a village and we harvest there corn, persimmons, apples, grapes, wallnut, plums and different berries. We make different jams and compotes from fruits and berries. I like apple pie with smooth merengue on top. 🍰🍎🌽🍇🍓🍐
