Tom, once again your uncle Tom has shared your video with his geezer riding club. LOL I'm a lifelong prog/fusion drummer so normally it takes a killer rhythm section to get me off, but again, your playing is a hard to achieve mix of wicked technique, warmth and beauty. It's emotionally and technically wonderful. KUDOS!!!
There was a time when I was watching Tom's loungeroom performance on loop because I had no other way to listen to his music. Now he's on Candyrat's youtube channel. Tom's music has given so much to me and I hope he understands that his hard work is greatly appreciated by so many. Thanks Tom for all your hard work (and twitch streams).
Maan.. that’s really a thing. Once u catch the rhythm it holds your mind and flows further and further away with each and every note. Thank you, it’s brilliant.
This guy's going places; remote isles off the coast of Greenland, caves in the heart of Appalachia, the department of Motor Vehicles... :P Congrats Tommy! Happy to see you here man.
Learning this as I watch this video. Glad the tabs are up! Have been waiting to learn this on guitar since the moment I heard it. Cheers Tom, you are fantastic
The running joke on twitch is as follows: "This song is called “No Service”. It was inspired one blustery, windy, snowy Sunday morning in Eastern Massachusetts. Tom, after a night of heavy drinking decided to seek absolution, and drove to his church for 8am mass. Alas, the Church was closed because of the snow. A sign hung on the door that said “No Service”, so, inspired, Tom went home and wrote this ditty about heavy drinking and absolution."
@@peterjones6456 Aw, wow! Thank you, Peter! It’s a brilliant, powerful, complex piece, with some of the most intricate finger-picking I have ever seen/heard (those quick harmonics, for example!) Eddie Van Halen would’ve been blown away, I’m sure!
The actual story behind the title 'No Service' is that it's named after the feeling you get when you've gone to an unfamiliar place outside of cell service range. The story Peter relayed is a joke among the members of the twitch stream. Glad you dig the tune!
This song with this rhythm would work much better on a nylon string guitar. A steel string guitar has too loud trebles which makes the sound annoying in such ways of playing (single note arpeggios).
This is incredible Tom!!! YEAh! 🍻🍻

Building A Memory + Dreamcatcher + When She Cries + Art of Motion
3 of those 4 are certainly hugely influential tunes for me!
WOW.
Why the title “No Service”?
There a story behind that?
Just beautiful.
Ooh boi, we have fun with these stories in his discord 😅

BOP
Very nice. Lovely melody. What's the tuning
Hey James - DADGCE for this song.
@@TomInBoston appreciate it, and your art!
Looks like a Stonebridge GS23CR. Have that same instrument. Great guitars.
It sure is! I've had this guitar for quite a while now and it still kicks ass.
@@TomInBoston play mine every day. I’m in love. :D
The watch gives him power
Beautiful sound and recording! Which pickup is it?
its an LR Baggs but the pickup was off and not used in this recording
Great playing ,what tuning are you using thanks very inspirational 👏
Is this Andy McKee's son ?!
Very Andy Mckee-ish. Sounds great.
What guitar brand is that?!?!?!
The intro could straight be out of a William Fitzsimmons song, whereas later on I get some Andy McKee-Shanghai vibes
I feel like I'm the guy that walked up on Garth in Wayne's World lol
Tuning?
DADGCE for this one!
@@TomInBoston thanks
