I get so excited when Phil Hendrie gets brought up. I feel like he was such a big part of radio in his special way. If people only heard him when he was doing his thing.. freaking gold.

difference between Vince Mcmahon & Howard is that Vince never stopped innovating and working hard. Howard got by on a schtick and rode the luck.
SHELLBACKS CLUB 🐢 What a stupid comment! You don't have a massive career likes Howard's spread out over 40 years without major talent and innovation. I’ve been listening since the DC101 days in the early 80's. Those days were fun but I’m glad Howard evolved and moved on. Now many decades later he's legendary for being one of, if not the best, interviewers of major celebrities whether it’s actors, musicians, or politicians. I’d much rather hear these interviews than yet another Butt Bongo Fiesta! The Stern show continues to be fantastic and is as consistently good as any other show on radio in my opinion. Tons of Dj’s have tried to copy his style and have never reached his level of success or longevity. Luck had nothing to do with it. If you know his story you know it's been a battle the whole freakin way.

I don't believe for a second that they ever considered Bubba for the Sirius morning slot. He has serious delusions of grandeur
Regarding the Hogan video - Bubba is heard on tape saying, "If we ever need to retire, here is our ticket". Bubba also made a DVD copy of the "incident" from an electronic copy and held onto it. Bubba 100% knew what he was doing and set Hogan up. I am no Hogan fan, f*ck that liar, but those are the facts. Bubba is no friend of Hogan's and I don't blame Hogan for never, ever forgiving this scumbag.

Howard's contract was his best contract - regarding content. Howard, Bubba, and Scotty Ferrall. The problem is/was - the 2 companies merged so that left satellite radio a monopoly with no competition. So .... they stopped throwing around the kind of money that they did before the merger. I think they wanted Bubba to work for minimum wage (exaggerating of course). So he left ....?
My favorite week was when Iron Sheik was going crazy. Bubba's wedding was my 2nd.

In Bubba's mind he's friends with Wiggy but I don't think Wiggy considers him a friend. I did like the early years of Sirius though when Bubba and Scottie Ferrall were on before the Wig wanted to keep all the marbles for himself and practically killed the second channel.
