adrianSteam, this guy www.youtube.com/@adriaNt3m, the coder who is making this mod said it's, sort of possible, but tricky and if implemented, almost certainly buggy The bots do not used the same melee system as players, and if they were to enter an "banzai" mode, their coding would have to be basically overwritten temporarily There is though still, a lot of great improvements coming, just to name a few: - Better coverseeking behaviour, they will actually check if the location they are in is safe, and move if it is not - Bots can lay down or crouch - Shooting fast in close quarters - Varied uniforms and headwear, they all use the dirty hero head variants, saves some memory which should increase stability slightly (old ass game engine) - Ability to throw smokes and grenades - Bot squadleaders can make Artillery marks (more useful as a defender, obviously) There is more changes but they are fairly minor In addition, there is a few minor changes to roles, such as: - Type 38 Arisaka unlock for Yankee riflemen - M1 Garand for Japanese riflemen - BAR for Japanese machinegunners - More ammo for flamers (50% more) - More ammo for mortars (form 6 to 8 as of now) Features that we spoke of, but which have not yet been added included: - More obedient bots, they will seek cover close to a location where they are told to move by squadleader - Bot ability to call artillery and recon (presumably by request of human SL? need to confirm this with adrian) - "Possibly" an improved melee system (adrian said something about zombie AI, he has implemented to an Nacht Der Untoten mimicking mode for Rising Storm 2) - More aggressively engaging in gunfights - Switching to pistols under certain conditions (Can't confirm this WILL be added, adrian said that making them switch to pistols is easy, switching back not so) - Stamina removed from bots so they can move faster (makes AI flanking easier) There is probably much more that we have spoken of and i have simply forgotten about but, yeah. Sweet! It'll be difficult to get ranked due to tripwire essentially dropping the game, but here's hoping!
