I needed this sermon and Communion (spiritually taken with a broken heart and contrite spirit, though not physically). Where I moved to does not have a local church that serves communion weekly. The Mormon church does, which I grew up with but left in 2010 after discovering how false it was. I tried to attend for the communion, but whenever they sing a song that is not focused on our Father and His Son - it breaks my heart. I couldn't go back, not even for communion. I'm ugly 😭. Oh how I long to be among my siblings in Christ. My husband became atheist in 2017 and our two teens don't want to be Christian. I greatly desire to be in our Father's house, surrounded by an all consuming overwhelming love, all our tears of sorrow wiped away. I look forward to placing my crown at our Redeemer's feet, our King of kings.
@Nichole Look for a local church of christ - no church is perfect but they are usually very biblical and are serious about doing God's work the way it was meant to. Please just walk in Church of Christ churches are global but the most humble and open for all to just walk in the doors wearing anything. Also just wanted to remind you there are some things in the bible that talk about marriages where just one person is christian and it basically tells you to keep loving your non christian spouse because christians are here to LOVE especially their spouses and God... be a good example 1 Corinthians 7:12-14 ESV To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. "For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife," your atheist husband may have hope according to these passages. stay with them its important.

I'll attend it this coming Sunday I have been married to him for 17 years with no.intentions to get a divorce. I'm familiar with those Bible verses about being married to an unbeliever. My faith has only.been strengthened through the challenges.
I hear you and struggle with the same troubles. I have wiped my shoes of the sand from some yet still hold out hope for others. Just remember Mark 39 & try to see past the Us & Them tribalism that is the OLD COVENANT which is what I have the most issue with as it would appear Jesus did also. WE are in the END TIMES due to the Precession of the 7 north stars. If there was ever a time to get right with Jesus and his father it is now. Pastor Brett….I cannot tell you how much this message meant to me. I always feel like a Gomer, & I’ve done some terrible things. I always have a hard time reconciling my thoughts of inner-despisement with the fact that God purposely, out of pure love, not only of “us””….but also for “me”, sacrificed his only son, to be tortured and killed in order to redeem me from the sinful way that I lived. My husband Ron has been praying for me all the time, & we belong to a local church. But your messages move me deeply. Thank you so much for putting your lessons on You Tube. They help me so much.
In the church i still belong to, they won't let anybody have communion unless they are a member. This si something that has bothered me since I was a little girl. I have brought this up wiyh the pastor. They won't budge. I feel likeni can no longer be a partnof this church because like Pastor Brett said here Jesus paid the price for all of us sinners. Please pray for me as i struggle with whereni take my family in a new church that follows what Jesus says and not what men say in communion at his table.
Why? Why would ANYBODY 👎 this?? 5 people did it and gave no reason. They do need praying for, but they also need to examine themselves. Before G-d requires it of them...
