I feel like the P2020 has gotten a lot of hate. People keep forgetting about the fast reload and controllable speed.
Being able to do well with a weapon doesn't make a weapon good. The p2020 is the worst weapon in the game from pretty much every statistical standpoint.

Literally the worst weapon in the game and HEAVILY dependent on if you magically find hammerpoint. It’s a reason no one uses it, maybe only In pubs if you hate your life.
The charge rifle does me dirty. I literally will not pick it up. If I have no weapon I would rather have my fist.
I rather use my fist than a 30-30

@@scottchavez9382 it's just a meme, lifeline used to in the game randomly yell "MOZAMBIQUE HERE" but the Mozambique is an okay secondary. If your knew to apex I would recommend using the r301 and either a shotgun or smg. The r301 is easy to learn to control recoil an it's basically everyone's favorite gun when they first start. Personally I been using the nemesis and peacekeeper shotgun been destroying alot of people with it.

I agree with ya, I used to pick up a flatline every game but now i always have a havoc in my loadout. Its OP both in close and long range. You do have to learn how to control the recoil in long range but once you do, it shreds!
Especially if you manage to pick up a turbocharger but even without it, its at least A tier

I used to like the R-99 back in season 12 when I started. I took a very long break and just came back and yeah, the 99 has disappointed me every time I've picked it up
I’ve been a day 1 r99 lover, is has ALWAYS been my go to secondary no matter if it was “good” or “bad” but this season it genuinely abysmal.
R9 has my highest stats on smg and on any gun as ive loved it since s1
Using it now feels like im throwing a fight
Havoc is a beast, combo it with a better mid range AR like the hemlock or r301 and you'll be tearing through lobbies

Alternator and Spitfire or 301 for me this season. I personally think the alt has the best open sights in the game anyway.
Try the alt with disruptor and a 2x paired with the re45 w hammerpoint and digi. If you can find all that, it's not a bad close to mid range setup
That lag with the Re-45 and longbow was crazy 2:45

Super insightful! I normally always stick to the same weapons, but somehow I've been drawn to the weapons you've ranked as B or A without knowing why they felt like a good weapon, whereas they didn't feel that way last season.
Last season I didn't like picking up the spitfire or the volt, but I've been using them a lot this season (as well as the mastiff). I do still use the r99 because I'd feel like I'm betraying it, but I secretly know the volt is better lol

Mozam with Maggie perks goes crazy, same thing with Spitty on Rampart. Also the prowler + PK combo is just unmatched if you're running an assault legend now - just so good.

I have been playing since the second day the game came out. I love that they change guns buffs and nerfs because it completely changes the game and the meta which makes it more fresh.

P2020 with selectfire would be interesting, turning it into a burst pistol with digi could actually have some value, so far it's always felt kinda useless

God, I needed this tier list after being gone for three seasons……. I think, downgrading the SMG’s gives shotgun time to shine. 💪🏿

A classic pistol sidearm is always something nice to carry around with high mobility and a fast time to kill, but only in the right hands.

I would like to ask you mentioned the longbow needing a bullet velocity speed Dont all snipers longbow kraber sentinal and even vantages gun have the same bullet speed or at least the sentinal and longbow cause how else would the sites match up for bullet drop?

No keep using flatline your a Chad for that, you automatically lose at least 2 inches of meat size for using burst weapons

Try the Alt, it's actually a great gun. My kills increased since I started using it, but it also depends on your play style.
I've kinda come around to P2020. I probably would never go into an end-game with one, but early game it's not a bad pick. It's a fast weapon when it comes to reload and the handling is pretty agile- again as you said it's a weapon you want to get rid of pretty fast, but I won't feel helpless if I get one (unlike the charger rifle lol). If you're accurate it could be kinda clutch early on. Obviously unless you're at the upper class of players I think most of the weapon picks come down to the range you cover and personal preference. For example idk why but L-star is one of my best weapons close/mid-range, it just feels so great to use and obviously if you've got level 2 extended mag or above on it you're cooking. But yes make sure to get some long range for your 2nd weapon if you carry it into late-game (kinda depending on the map imo). Still think you placed both of these correctly, that's just to say 1) personal preferance 2) fuck charger rifle
Also keep in mind I'm not an amazing apex player by any stretch of the imagination and never play ranked. Only play for fun, so take whatever I say with a grain of salt lol
I remember one time when I got a 30 30 off spawn and used it as a shotgun at first and shredded with it somehow
I like Hemlock, RE-45 and CAR this patch. They feel really good to use
okay good list but like havoc b tier sounds insane when most use it as a volt replacement rn since its better, i get that you could place it lower since you kinda need a turbo for it but b tier is kinda harsh imo ^^
What i love about the nemesis is that you can just hold down LMB to shoot and don’t have to repeatedly click.

Glad I’m not the only one that can feel the downgrade and nerf of the r99, I legit tried using it in ranked and I just can’t do anything with it anymore like I used to.

Mozam is my go to now that the eva8 is gone, the pk and mastiff are just to inconsistent for me and the pk has a no-reg problem

Thank you I’ve been telling people the r9 is wack now but they say I’m crazy. I told em prowler volt was the wave this season as soon as I saw the patch notes and doubled down when I tried them in the range. My friends are still on the “Ping an r9 if you see one” meta in ranked and are mad when I ping prowlers 😂😂😂
R9 is still the dps king. It's just a less consistent dps king. It's far from wack.
@@qwertyg3666 You can’t kill a red evo until you have a blue mag. If you have a blue mag you literally can not miss a bullet. I think the margin for error with a purple is 3 bullets before you don’t kill. Its effective range got gutted. It loses to the prowler close range it loses to volt medium range. It’s wack.
@@BladeOfPurpleAura it beats the prowler if you hit your shots. Additionally with the armour changes by the time you're fighting purple armours you should have a suitable mag. It's effective range is still the same it just requires more control. It's no longer brainless.
i played from season 0 to season 7 die hard but stopped playing til now im back and i keep picking the r99 now i know why it aint the same lol

I agree with some of thses - I also believe this comes from a roller bias. - MnK Masters Checking in - Sentinal + RE Hammerpoint / Mozen Hammerpoint / Car is deadly. Sentinel belongs at Least A if not S-tier. 1-shot crack on almost all you spot backs the teams off quickly.
The reason they’re tinkering around with things other than the damage for the r99… is because 1 damage make s a huge difference for that gun. 1 extra damage is a ~9% increase in DPS. Which is ridiculous, make or break for a gun like that. I think they should tinker around with the limb/headshot multipliers instead. 12 damage with low limb/headshot damage or 11 with high limb/headshot.
Interesting take, I actually prefer the triple take over the hemlock this season, the triple take does double as a shotgun tho
You dead wrong about the Havoc. Even without the turbo, you can squadwipe so easily.

I hate how digital scope can't be used on SMGs anymore. Bangalore has been in game since S0. It's not like people just started to use smoke + digital.
But it's only been an issue since scan nerfs and thicker smokes. Smoke was irrelevant during seer meta or before the thickening of smokes when you could draw site lines through it. So while people have done smoke + digi for ages due to her buffs and scans nerfs it has been uncounterable for the last couple of seasons.

I love and forever will love the triple take. I do hate the random dmg sometimes, but it feels so good to shoot, has great hipfire and is the most ammo efficient gun in the game. As much as the charge rifle was hated back then, i did respect it for 1 thing. Its accuracy. 100 accurate hipfire, in the air, aiming. I wish that would be the case on the triple take. Would make it so much more reliable and consistant.
And as a sniper fan, pls give it back its sniper scopes...
sentinel with a bruiser is the best thing you can have early to mid game or even late (unless you find a weapon with good attachments that fills the role), if you happen to land headshots or dont miss shots, is not that hard at least not on m&k, especially early game/drops due to the new armor system (which is a good thing) the less rng the better so now you rely heavily on skill to win your first few fights
In my pesonal oinion 30-30 is way more akward to use than tripple take. I'd always pick tripple take over ant other marksman. It just feels better to use

It only effects the ttk on red armour exactly requiring one more bullet. It's definitely still a top tier weapon.

I mean yeah, but it doesn't hit as hard as other care package weapons, and it's range being massively limited doesn't help. Imo a +2 to mag, and rounding it's ammo count to the nearest multiple of 10 would make it able to compete with other/previous care package weapons.
MAYBE a tighter spread so it gets a bit of range? But I think the extra sustain would give it a good nudge.

i think the stabilizer just make the weapons prettier, idk i just like the model with the stabilizer, so, the l-star now looks worse, the smgs too when you removed it back in the day, etc i rather have the stabilizer as a ¿skin? then be removed
I disagree with the Car being placed at B when it is still the most versatile SMG being able to use both ammo types and attachments and it doesn’t need a laser sight.
I still don't understand why the L-Star needs an extended energy mag. I mean, it does not make no sense to me. It doesn't reload at all. They need to get rid of that slot.

With the RE-45 if you lose a fight its because you played the situation poorly, with Devotion it can be due to the weapon just sucking sometimes seemingly out of nowhere, and it can get you killed. Wouldn't have them in the same tier. Also the Triple Take is dependent on your teammates, if they are any good its a monster gun.
Triple take is a peak weapon that gets out traded by most ars let alone other peak weapons. It's rof is awful and needing to choke it makes peaking cumbersome. The re45 is also just bad. Against any player hitting an equal amount of shots using any other auto or burst weapon you are going to get out traded.
@g3666 I mean you're not really addressing my main point which is that they are both reliable at doing damage and are reliant on your teammates helping you get kills. Other guns because of the recoil you could choke a solo fight, at least with these guns the other person will likely be really low for your teammates to kill. Damage stats are hypothetical they don't tell the full story.
@@aja3longhorn375 They don't tell the full story but the triple take does not do sufficient damage to be viable, is only ok in some situations and never the best at anything. It's true raw damage doesn't tell the full story but if you have neither raw damage nor consistent damage thats a recipe for mediocrity at best. The need to choke the gun makes it's damage potential unreliable. The re45 just offers too little damage in the later game. Sure you can teamshoot with it but if the enemy teamshoots you with volts back you're still going to be the team that comes up short. Team shooting with more damage is better than team shooting with less. To determine if a weapon is good think about facing yourself with another weapon. If the other weapon is winning that engagement it's better than the weapon you are using. You cannot expect things to go your way in a given fight and must consider what a weapon offers in a bad spot as well as a favourable one.
@@qwertyg3666 My comment is based off of his list, there's no way the Devotion should be in a tier with those weapons.

The EVA deserves no more than B tier. I feel like it's gotten me killed every time I've picked it up. Sure if you are barrel stuffing someone its pretty strong, but that just isn't always gonna be able to happen. You are basically always going to be better off with something that can do better damage at a bit further ranges.
Also, I still say that the P2020 should be removed from floor loot and given to everyone on drop. Solves a few problems at once. People that hate it don't have to worry about it taking up loot spots on the ground. You don't have to worry about the RNG of hot dropping and your area not having a weapon. Anyone that likes it can just keep it the entire game. Personally, I think anything that further lessens the RNG aspects of these games is always going to be a win. The shield changes for instance, are incredible. There is no way anyone liked landing and immediately rounding the corner to a guy who picked up a purple shield.
I haven't played S18 and played like 3-4 games in S19 by the end of it like 2 days before s20, watching this made me realize that's why R99 and CAR feels weird to use. it's like I can't knock people the way I used to.
Respawn have stated they want to move away from the overstayed smg meta which is the reason for the nerf so expect to see them nerf the volt and prowler soonish.
