the music was amazing and the scene was still real hype. if I'm not mistaken the animators have limitations against their will so its not really their fault

What actually happened was the directors from both the movie and season 1 left, and then the season 2 director left after episode 1, which is probably why the sae vs Rin fight looked good, so they got some animators that weren't part of the studio, but they were overworked, so all left except for 1, that one guy worked by himself for the first 5 episodes until some more animators came, that's why the animation got better

The animation on this goal was okay at best. It's a miracle we even have this in a crumbling production like Blue Lock S2. But I'm not here to glaze, this goal was mid visually. Barou's yell before the kick was nice, but the flow into the next cut where he kicks did not flow well. The stiff animation on the kick didn't help either. I'll defend the animators for why the animation looks like this, but I will not defend bad or genuinely mediocre work.
Blue Lock was never about football gameplay... it's was about repeated enlightenment/growth in dire setting. The plot and thinking part is always that entertaining. That's why even if people shit on S2 animation, its still extremely popular. TBH, I don't even notice bad animation until I came to reddit/mal/yt...basically because people comments. For me it was just as fun as I when I read the manga, better even. Blue Lock S2 bring about a new type of anime : Shit animation but carried by Plot Contrary to other popular anime that mostly survive by animation : Fate/Demon Slayer etc
The art Carried the S2 In my Opinion since the Animation is already bad, Now the Art Is also Ass, they put all the Budget of the episode in Barou's Goal for God sake
Animators literally glazing only shidou at this point. No offense but I don't think the animators understand the importance of the Barou Isagi Rin triangle, without them (and some others, but especially these 3) Blue Lock project would have failed and died with Ego's dream.
