You know, I've gone to that manga shop multiple times and had no fucking clue that Takehiko Inoue drew that himself, just passed by it going "Ah I see a man of taste did this!" not knowing the creator of my favorite manga painted it. Fucking hell man.
He said he suddenly decided to draw crows imagine what Musashi staring at. He said it was scary to climb up a ladder. He also said he was not into drinking and chatting so he just kept drawing glasses and pattern to Kojiro‘ s kimono.
He's a good looking guy, especially with skin head and the fact that he's 40 here. But the fact that he draws like a god makes him 1,000 times more attractive.
I literally just went to this store today it's on 42nd street in New York it's called Kinokuniya it's so good if you like manga or any Japanese literature you should visit
I would love for him to come to Comic-Con for a signing of Slam Dunk/Vagabond/Real/Buzzer Beater, he's one of my favorite's and truly unique in an already unique medium.
How mangaka are able to draw with no sketch is amazing to me. The first minute I was watching, I was lost as to what he was blocking in with the solid black ink before the camera pulled back and showed he was constructing a face. I could never do something that, this dude is amazing.
Edventures he used a pencil!!! U cant make a mistake because its a wall people will gonna observe, so if u just draw it directly wew u will lose the pattern, even other artist they. Been using scale and magnifying glass by flipping it to see if its in a ryt angle . . . . .
Can confirm, visited the place for the first time yesterday (it's in 42nd st). First thing you see once you get to the second floor... amazing welcome gift and hasn't deteriorated at all.

A divine artists
C4nadian nope he's absolutely amazing but the god of manga IS Osamu Tezuka
el maestro tezuka fue el que puso la primera piedra del manga moderno, inoue es la maxima expresion de este
I would say that many pros hold that title.
In terms of art alone he has the highest quality of all
Him and Shinichi Sakamoto
As well as Miura, in my opinion at least
@@shunkun8668 underrated
This guys is a genius. I miss Vagabond. Vagabond and Slam Dunk are my favourite mangas of all time and Inoue Takehiko is my favourite mangaka
Read his other work if you didn't already, it's called real it's really great.
New York has seen the wonders and glories and wonders of seinen manga.
I think he is truly an artist
I remember being there by stroke of luck when this work was done. 17 years old and watching one of my heroes create right before my eyes.

If you look closely you can see that he made a sketch (13:28)

Let's See I wish I could.
What's the source of this video? Is it a full documentary?
As far as I remember was a shorter video regarding his visit to New York and this specific shop.
I was just there on Saturday in Kinokuniya Bookstore cant believe this is a 11 year old painting
Sean STROMAN I wish I could see, but I'm from Brazil.
he was drawing igaya at the beginning right?
In the paper? Was Musashi.
Symon Oliveira really? I thought it was igaya koun when sasaki fought him
yeah it's from the scene where Musashi and Kojiro are fighting with sticks in the snow
it's a pity the quality of the video!
It was 2007. This quality was pretty standard.
