  • The leaders' debate first clap went to Plaid Cymru's Leanne Wood, after she told Ukip leader Nigel Farage that he should be ashamed of himself.
    Mr Farage had been talking about the treatment of immigrants with HIV on the NHS.

    Its the truth ffs stop being such bloody hypocrites ... they should of brought up the ex servicemen and women living on the streets but that too would be too truthful for people to handle...foreign aid should be stopped and spent on these unfortunate souls instead of bloody sending it to India..start looking after the british.

      If you knew your own history you would know many "foreigners" fought for Britian in both world wars. Also it was only about 10 years ago we finished paying back America for the money we borrowed to have them wars

      If your not prepared to do that, Shut the fuck up

      Where did I mention racism?
      I never said the EU does or doesnt have problems , I never said I liked or disliked it.
      I was only talking about your comment about
      people mixing.
      If the deal to leave the EU mean Britian had to take back every single person from around the world that has British Identidy people like you would still not agree.

      I put whites/Brits not WHITES & i said that because you said you have a problem with people mixing. Im not the 1 with the problem YOU ARE.
      For the 2nd time , i'll ask again.
      If the deal was to leave the EU but all Brits or anyone with british DNA had to leave whatever country they were in to satisfy your dislike the EU & your love for identity would you agree to it.

    People tell me that Nigel Farage says "what everyone thinks, but are too afraid to say".
    But I never think what he says. So using the logic in my first statement, Nigel Farage says what "nobody thinks".
    Basically, in my opinion Nigel Farage says "what *some* people think but are too afraid to say".
    Leanne makes a good point. These facts delivered in this way cause division. Is it a "cheap shot" to say "you should be ashamed?" Maybe. It's also cheap to put blame solely on immigrant people.
    If we are going to scrutinize how much is spent on foreign aid, then we need to scrutinize total expenditure. The figure by itself will look huge. In comparison to other costs, maybe not.
    We as a public are unfortunate in that we cannot easily see what is going on. Or we lack the genuine interest to investigate it ourselves. So we rely on other people to tell us what to think.

    Why do these guys insist on tax payer money being spent to help other nationals before UK citizens?

    • @Archivian01
      @Archivian01 9 лет назад

      Mostly because it actually works in the long term.
      Also because their too scared to touch the 85bn in corporate subsidies we give corporations (bit.ly/1nb763p) - We could fix all the problems with that cash. (but its their mates cash so they wont touch that)
      Also because they are human beings that cannot at all help themselves due to the dire situations. (mostly)
      Also because their are other places to find money before stopping aid.
      Also you have to keep in mind. By saying no aid, you are also saying, keep those people in a place where they are starving/sick/tortured etc - Even though we technically can help.
      Also Its leverage on other countries
      Its not fair but it is what it is.

    • @treejoe4
      @treejoe4 9 лет назад

      Archivian
      It's not the UK's priority to help countless people looking for benefits and the NHS.

    • @Archivian01
      @Archivian01 9 лет назад

      treejoe4 Even in the worse possible case, thats actually not true.
      less than 300,000 influx of people out of 65,000,000 population, the vast majority of which are paying their taxes (so paying their way).
      Unless you mean that even if they pay their way they still shouldn't be allowed to use NHS etc?
      If thats the case then, really your just pointing it out because they are foreign.
      You seem fine with giving 85bn to corporations but not a fraction of that amount to help people in trouble.
      It would seem helping people isn't YOUR priority. That seems to be the kind of country that your trying to bring about.

    • @treejoe4
      @treejoe4 9 лет назад +1

      Archivian
      You are still aren't getting at why it is a priority. I don't want to provide taxes towards helping towards any random person coming to the UK, we don't even get that kind of treatment in their countries.
      But I guess you are fine with a 2050 Islamic UK. I guess you are also fine with minimum wage decreasing (as wages are extremely tied to immigration).
      Both are obviously issues, but don't act like the billions wasted in immigration is small.

    • @Archivian01
      @Archivian01 9 лет назад

      treejoe4 Ok so your outright bigoted.
      We do get healthcare abroad, in the EU. Because we are part of the EU. We get to move freely as well. Its starting to happen a bit more due to our failing NHS.
      The countries we give aid to, also tend to not even have the facilities to provide the same medical care, hence partly why we might give them aid. But you prefer they suffer, don't develop, and don't ultimately contribute back (usually through trade).
      You also don't want the UK to maintain any international leverage.
      Also there are only 3mil ish Muslims in the UK. There are 62mil of everyone else.
      These are only big issues in your mind, not on paper or in reality. And in all that, giving away 85bn to corporations, wasn't even a blip on your radar. Way more than enough money to fix the NHS, help social programs and still leave a massive chunk to subsidize corporations (not to mention corp tax). But you want to focus on 3mil, + an influx of 250 thousand approx.
      Try looking beyond your own bubble before (incorrectly) blaming the rest of the world.
      Your so scared you feel 3mil people will some how defeat (what ever that might mean in your brain) 62million.
      Those Muslims must be super ninja in your brain. All 3 mil of them working together to take down 62 million people.
      No I am not tied low min wage. That would be irrational. I am more in the progressive box than anything else.
      Immigration links with min wage. Everything else, links with wages more.
      Money in politics is an even stronger correlation. You might want to look at that.

    There is only one party to vote for as he speaks from the heart and tells the truth as it is but once again we have to many do gooders wanting things to be the same forever and do we really want to be paying for foreigners medication at high prices coming out of our pockets and for N.H.S. to foot the bill for people coming here from overseas and jst to finish after working overseas for 23 yrs i never once got any medical help from many countries without my company paying big bucks, think about it as Nicola Sturgeon seemingly has not, we are a small country and cannot afford to go on like this, its common sense so Nigel Farage is the only one who has seen the problems that we have.

    What Nigel is suggesting is that we put a price on peoples lives, and I frankly would feel ashamed of a Great Britain that would so callously treat other human beings with such disrespect. We are fortunate to live in a country where we have free health care and Nigel should show a little more compassion for those who are not so lucky. To turn people away with a serious illness like HIV is tantamount to a death sentence and I for one would not want that on my conscience.

    Guys, I think you miss the point of what she said. She did claim that he was "scaremongering" and that he "should be ashamed" that is a definite fact, theres no hiding it. But she didn't say that he should be ashamed for wanting the British the priority she claimed that he should be ashamed for ALWAYS blaming EVERYTHING on foreigners, next he'll claim that foreigners caused the bloody deficit! So sure, I agree with Leanne, he should be ashamed, no I don't agree that foreigners should be given priority, but I also don't think that they should be forced to look elsewhere for treatment.

    • @thedon68889

      charlotteq1 This may be true but sometimes in their countries there is war, bloodshed, famine, extreme disease, can you really blame them for choosing Britain over their own impoverished country? For wanting quality healthcare for their children, knowing full well they won't get it where they are? In an ideal world, everyone would be able to be treated, sadly we don't

    To all the people supporting farage. Aren't you lucky to have been born in a country where HIV isn't as widepread, we have easy access to condoms and the education to know how necessary they are.
    What is the actual alternative Farage is suggesting? Leaving people from worse of countries to die from an illness we can treat? I personally think treating sick people is an excellent use of my tax money

Why does being British mean you have a right to a better life?
