    I really like the form factor and battery. Sony really does his own thing again like many of there products. I like it. It's a bit expensive if you compare it to others.

      I agree, a bit expensive but a good phone. I am still using it. It feels like a classy product. No difference in normal usage compared to Pixel 8, for example. The camera gives it away though :)

    Good review. I think I will buy this one. It seems to have everything I need. Small size, headphone jack, decent performance, good battery, good sound. What more do you want?

      Thank you. I am still using the phone instead of my Pixel 8 Pro. There is no difference in the app opening and the scroll speed. Love this form factor, the clean Android, the battery life, the speakers and the light weight. The camera is acceptable for the price. Night mode is crap though :) Thanks for watching!

    I still have an xperia 10 iii and how I used it the battery lasted me a minimum of 3.5 days and a maximum of 5 days, now I have an xperia 5v and the battery lasts me 3 days maximum 4 with a use of facebook/instagram 30-40 min daily and music approx. 30 min.
    One minus of xperia 5v is that the main camera is not 48 MP but only 12 MP even is advertised as 48MP.
    I'm curious how 10 vi will "behave".
    I came back to sony from a samsung a54 where the battery barely lasts 2,5 days with power saving mode.

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  3 месяца назад +6

      Sony a pus accent mult pe esențiale: baterie, ecran bun cu Gorilla Glass Victus, difuzoare foarte bune. Plus experiența de stock Android care e super. La 5v, camera este de 48mp, aceeași care este si pe 1vi doar ca face automat binning la 12 mp. Sony poate activa modul de 48mp daca are chef.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@mytechchannel123 i have the Xperia 5ii and the side sense is better than on a Google Pixel 6a which i also have. I expected way more from the software giant Google but i will be buying a sony again after this. Also sony has the pop up screen so you can literally use 3 screens on the phone. Super nice. I didnt often use it but i did mostly used it for watching youtube for example in the upper screen and whatsapp underneath of it.

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  3 месяца назад +6

      I agree. Google's Pixel UI is pretty basic. And the Xperia screen looks better. On the other hand, the Series A have faster processors than the series 10 from Sony ( not the 5, that is basically a flagship). Additionally, the cameras are better on the series A from Google, even better than on the series 5 from Sony, let alone series 10 which are budget- midrange phones. So yeah, strengths and weaknesses on both sides.

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  3 месяца назад +7

      Hi. Thanks for watching. There is no overheating. The CPU throttles to 70% in synthetic tests and the GPU to 99.8% and the temperature was 40 degrees maximum. The SoT is 8-9 hours in real life, in indoors scenarios. On mobile data is also efficient and can get 5-7 hours. I am still using this phone as my daily driver as I love the form factor so I am not talking about battery estimation tests.

      I think it is in line with the other phones in the same price range. Stock Android has a different brightness slider. The slider is more responsive in the upper half. This is true for the Google Pixels, as well. I think it is dumb, but it is what it is. That does not mean it is less bright or consumes more power. It is just a different slider behavior.

    Hello, I was looking for this test of the device, your video is the best, I have a question, or rather I am undecided about buying the Sony Xperia 1iii or this 10vi, since this 10vi is current from 2024... the the battery a little, which one do you recommend?
    Greetings from Peru.

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  2 дня назад +2

      Hello. Thank you for watching my video. I never used the Xperia 1iii but from my experience, and looking at the specifications, the Xperia 1iii is still better when it comes to the processor (the Snapdragon 888 is more capable than the 6 gen 1 both in CPU and graphics) and the older flagship cameras are still better than newer budget phones. The screen is good on the 10 vi so no complaints there. However, you need to take 2 aspects into consideration: the battery life and the software support/warranty. The battery of the 1iii was not amazing to begin with and even if you find the phone brand new, the battery still degrades even if the phone is not used. The software support stopped at Android 13 and more importantly, there will be no security updates for the 1iii, either. And security support is really important for a lot of sensitive apps (like banking apps). Furthermore, it is difficult to find a seller that has it brand new, so you will have no warranty either. I hope these considerations will help. If I had to choose, I would go with the 10vi.

      And if you are not a Sony die-hard, Google Pixel and Motorola have similar operating systems, close to stock Android. For example, I use a Pixel 7 and I am pretty happy with it.

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  Месяц назад +1

      There is no level indicator. There is no more manual mode like on last year's Xperias. And if you buy it for the camera, Pixel is better.

    It seems that the phone overheats when charging and in general when the CPU is under stress. What about that?

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  2 месяца назад +2

      The charging situation is a bit concerning on most modern phones. If the temperature does not go beyond 40 degrees (C), you don't need to worry about battery degradation. From my observations, most phones and chargers heat up on double USB C. I charge my phones at 15W on a USB to USB C cable and they do not heat up at all. Just try it. It takes longer, indeed, but this Sony 10 VI battery life is 2 days so it is worth charging at a slower pace. Furthermore, the chip inside is a Samsung chip and they are notorious for some overheating issues. And it is summer and all phones are under stress. Just ask your friends with other phone brands.

      @@mytechchannel123 I use the original sony charger and it still overheats. i will try what you are saying or charging from my laptop and see how it works

    • @mytechchannel123
      @mytechchannel123  2 месяца назад +1

      I understand. For reference, I have tried the 30W Motorola charger, the Pixel original 30W charger, the Xiaomi 33W charger with USB to USB C cable and the Baseus GAN 30W charger. Phones tested Pixel7, Pixel 8 Pro, Nothing Phone 2, iPhone 15 Plus, Xperia 10 V, Xperia 10 VI, Xperia 1 V. They all overheated the phones and the chargers. The only working solution for me is the Baseus charger (Incarcator retea Baseus Compact, Quick Charger, 20W, USB-C, USB, PD 3.0, Negru) with a Baseus braided USB to USB C cable. The drawback is that the phone charges in two and a half hours. But I prefer that to a hot phone. It charges faster if I use a USB C with USB C cable on the other port that outputs 20W, but the phones overheat, again. So, you are not alone and certainly Sony is not the problem here.
