- He's the legendary roller coaster designer that was the Head Engineer for Arrow Dynamics/S&S Worldwide who's list of accomplishments includes everything from Road Runner Express at Six Flags Fiesta Texas to Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood to X/X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain. He's now the Design Engineer for Rocky Mountain Construction and the man that created Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City, Iron Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Medusa Steel Coaster at Six Flags Mexico and Goliath at Six Flags Great America.

Alan is the man. It's a combination of many factors as to why he can design these new rides. They're done on a computer. Box track design. Better trains and restraints. He's not stuck in the B&M mentality of doing airplane maneuvers. Alan's designs are similar to Intamin, but he's on the cutting edge. On my top steel ranking web page, I've created a new category for RMC.
The best part is at 6:28 when the ride in the background is over and people clap their hands. That's mostly aimed to Mr. Schilke. ;)
