I went in 2017 during extra days in a RT 66 trip while I was waiting for friends to land in Albuquerque. My favorite thing about the museum is the "Identified flying objects" wall.
My family visited that museum in the mid 1990s, I think around the time that movie came out. Definitely remember the agent/doctor/alien on gurney setup.
The Cover Up Cafe was there like 12 years ago when I went and it was a very cool alien themed restaurant. The next year when I went it was gone. Hmmm they knew too much

I also have to recommend visiting Las Vegas, New Mexico. Lots of movie tourism, but when I went I ended up just having Karaoke night in the historic hotel and drinking with the locals. It's the one time I ever got a high five from a bell hop. Fun town to visit.

July 4th is the UFO festival. Go to White Sands. Alamogordo, NM has a ton of the NASA related museum. Tularosa is the home of Downwinders which resulted in cancers and birth defects and is the result of the atomic tests and finally, the bombs that were set off in Japan. Roswell has the airplane graveyard. It’s spooky.

The last two or three videos have been top notch guys, I love the Scottish festival one. This was hilarious, Got a whole Spaghetti Western vibe from the scenery there. Must be a bit of a shake up after literally jumping from an English winter to a desert landscape. Fantastic stuff.

New Mexico! Did not think you guys would stop here, I am a little further south in Las Cruces. The next time you are in New Mexico you should check out Carlsbad Caverns, they are amazing and there is a bat flight you can watch in the evening! It is definitely worth the trip!

Oh I love White Sands! They have these full moon events during the summer with live music and the moonlight reflects off of the sand, very beautiful! And yes go to the Caverns!
Albuquerque is my hometown! The sunsets can be pretty amazing here and there are some great areas to explore for scenery and things. Excited to see what y'all check out!
We loved Albuquerque! Unfortunately we had to catch up on some work while we were there, but we managed to sneak in a couple days of exploring :) *spoiler* we tried to capture an epic sunset last night but it was too cloudy :( glad we got a good one on our first night at least 😍

It's such a goofy place...we got the vibe that the people there aren't quite as into the UFO/alien stuff as they once were, so everything's a bit run down. But in our opinion it just made it that much more ridiculous haha!
I prefer my aliens to be rundown.

On a different note, how do you "compress" stuff (winter clothing, electronics, toiletries, etc.) that takes up too much space in your bags? I always have a hard time packing light!
+83fitch I think we've just learned to live with less. And we'll sometimes ship stuff back to our folks when we don't need it, and luckily we have a car at the moment, so it's kinda full of junk 😂
As a Roswell Native I get so sick of the alien crap. I have lived here all 40 years of my life, and I have never once seen a dang real spaceship. All this alien crap in my opinion was made up to get tourism lol.

I wonder if the "alien thing" is a North American phenomenon? We even have a UFO focused town in Canada: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonbeam,_Ontario. When we travelled with our kids, one of their favourite things was to stop at roadside attractions and take pictures in front of them. They would have loved posing with the aliens in the $3 attraction you went to. LOL!! - Pam
