Good performance in goal 👍 you did nothing wrong, made some important catches, parries and claims from crosses/corners, only the defence needed to sharpen up there but at 4-1 final score that's not a smashing.
I feel it man. We lost so close before like 6-5 2-3 and 5-3 in one season. The feeling is just sad

I played in the B team as captain for some time as a kid, over a span of like 4 years we got basically whooped every season by like 7 or 8 teams, had to have been the best time I had as gk . I always had work and basically learned so much mechanically-wise. Once I was at the A team I had like 3 or 4 saves when the opposing team had a good game. My defense was just so good that my form in game got so rusty. So games like that are insanely valuable, as a squad you will get better by knowing what the opposing has done to play their A game
Totally agree with all that mate. These types of games help you refocus and be up for the next one! Which is actually our first league game, so we really did need this!

2 years ago I lost every game with 9-0 or worse so I know the feeling. But therefore I also know that you need to leave it behind you and stay positive ❤

My worst defeat was 6-4… the referees didn’t show up so the opposition coach refereed the game, they scored a dodgy pen, and 3 offsides goals. On top of that their grass was rock solid and felt like concrete I could barely stand at the end of the game
That sounds rough mate! Hopefully no more games like that happen.
Although sometimes, when an opposition team are just better, there isn't much we can do about the goals

Minimum yellow card there, studs up like that is dangerous anywhere on the pitch but especially in the 6 yard box when you make a claim for it

My worst defeat was also a three-goal deficit. Only difference was that my team didn’t score… it was 3-0.
Tough to take aren't they, we can't control games like that though. I don't think there was many things I'd do differently in the game, possibly more communication with me team?
@@TheScouseGK Yeah, more communication’s always a good thing. I think your teammates also need to work a bit on their passing accuracy. I thought you were pretty good that match, you were just unlucky that your team were outclassed in outfield.
In my case, my right back got done in by their winger twice, forcing me into 1v1 situations. Now I’m nowhere near as good as you are in 1v1 situations, that’s something I need to improve.

There's not much else you could have done. You made some crucial saves, the scoreline would have been a lot worse without you. We lost 7-1 on Friday night, was our first game back after a few years out.

Tommorow I play a way better team and we don't have much hope to draw or even win I will try to save everything I can I will come back here
Always try your best, but just remember we can't save everything and we're not in control of a lot of things. Focus on yourself, be confident and communicate positively with your team 💪
