They're a talented pair indeed! I recently made a second video that features all of the Doctors - so if you like impressions, check out 'Ode to a Timelord' ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
This is so good. Not only are the Doctor voices spot on but the story had me gripped and the production values are top notch. I honestly think you should write for Big Finish as this is easily as good as any of theirs. I have been trying to get as many fellow fans as I can to listen to this.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, Pete and Jonathan's impressions are very good - I was so lucky to work with them both. Thanks ever so much for sharing this - I'm just amazed it's still getting so many hits :) And if you're a fan of Doctor Who impressions, then do take a look at my Poem - Ode to a Timelord ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
I'm just lost for words. Thank you to everyone involved, this is so fantastic. I just finished watching series 1 and this blends so seamlessly, it's so authentic!
Fantastic !... What's sure is that Pete Walsh just has to send this file to Big Finish to find a new (part-time maybe ?) job as the "official" Ninth Doctor !! And by the way, resolving a bad case, knowing that Eccleston will NEVER do it !... ;)
Lovely drama! Even the male robotic voice sounds like an Ood! Cannot express enough how shocked I was to hear how much this sounds like Chris E. Fantastic!
This is AWESOME! Gave Big Finish a run for it's money with ALL aspects of this feature. Voice acting in audio dramas, in my opinion, has to be IMPECCABLE, since you need the audience to believe that the actors are the real deal in order to really immerse in the experience, and this does the job! Pete Walsh is uncanny as the 9th Doctor, almost indistinguishable from Ecceleston. Jonathan Carley is pretty good, there are some moments that he sounds off, but he's definitely an actor with chops (love how even through his voice you can visualize movement and action). Rest of the cast was superb and hope you'll be doing more!
Wow, this is fan-made? Incredible for a fan project. Story is really interesting, the sound design is pretty good, and all the voice acting is amazing! The 9th Doctor’s voice is SPOT ON! 12’s voice is a little iffy here, and there, but mostly great too! This whole thing is fantastic! Absolutely fantastic!
Oh MY, this is brilliant! I am going to be recommending this to every Who fan I come across. The voice acting is amazing (especially the gentleman playing Nine--Twelve is great as well, but we're all so starved for Ninth Doctor stories, and this actor is SPOT ON), and that cliffhanger is delicious! So glad that the next part is already loaded up so I can go straight on with the story. Thank you so much for making this, and putting it on youtube where anyone can listen!
Thank you very much! So glad you enjoyed it :) Yes indeed, they're some very talented impressionists! If you're a fan of Doctor Who Impressions, you may also enjoy my Doctor Who Poem... m.ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
This has had me absolutely gripped start to finish. I honestly can’t wait to start on part 2 :0 Also, some amazing foley and Sound Effects. All topped with incredible Voice Acting to boot. All in all an incredible piece of media that could easily be mistaken for an official BBC production :0
Even if Twelve's voice sounds a bit off to me, the *delivery* is absolutely emaculate!!! And honestly that's what matters, especially since the voice isn't at all bad.
Glad you enjoyed it! The wonderful Jonathon Carley (who voices 12 here) is now recording official Doctor Who audio dramas for Big Finish as the War Doctor! He's a very talented voice artist :)
Oh My God! I've just been addicted with this audio story, and it's even my first time hearing this kind of audio! And it's fan-made! This is SO COOL!!! And it's canon for me too, just like everyone comment in this video :)
Azizul Adnan It's in the style of the Big Finish audiodramas. You should check them out, they actually are officially licensed, have a contract with the BBC. They mostly do stories involving the classic Doctors and companions, but there's a couple ones with Tennant and River too. I think even Jenny and Derek Jacobi's Master have audios on Big Finish. You can listen to some of their older audios for free on Spotify (PC or tablet version).
This is fantastic! 9 is spot on and 12 has nailed the cadence and pattern of Capaldi's doctor, even if I can tell it's another actor. Great pacing! Just lovely.
Thanks very much! Yes, they're a talented pair :) If you're a fan of Doctor Who Impressions then you may also be interested in this poem I produced... ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
I doubt they'd get Chris's permission, it's all about image right etc these days. We can live in hope that one day he will do them but I think he might have a bit of bitterness towards the roll
Glad you enjoyed it :) I think Pete was pretty famous for his 9th Doctor before this though to be honest...! And it's not just these two talented individuals - there are some really great Doctor Who Impressionists out there - ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
This is so damned FANTASTIC that I'm not even jealous that I'm not involved. The voices for Eccleston and Capaldi are absolutely wonderful!! Can't wait to hear more!
This is BRILLIANT. I thought i hated audio dramas, always tried to get into them as I love Doctor Who more than anything in the world but always find it hard as I have ADHD and autism and find it hard to keep focus, but this was soooo good. Thank you!!
This is fantastic, both Doctors were great- i feel like the actot for the 9th did a better impression, but the 12th doctor's actor has his mannerisms down slightly better. Both did fantastic though!!
Wow! This is amazing! The soundscape is perfectly put together, and the writing is sublime; you've perfectly captured the 12th Doctor's voice! Brilliant performances as well. Over all, a great production! Kudos to you and the whole team.
@@lukeoliver2785 - the twelth, war doctor and the seventh and fourth are my personal favourites. I give praise rarely... but, this enterprise deserves all kudus given.
Just discovered this, and I would have loved to have seen this story on the small screen. Get rid of that whole "Kill the moon" rubbish, and slip this story in instead between Clara and Bill. Your production quality is amazing.
Jon Carley is pretty much spot-on as the War Doctor, but I also think his Twelfth Doctor is just a cut above Jacob Dudman's. (Not to diminish Dudman's talents--his Eleventh Doc is LITERALLY the voice of Matt Smith, somehow.) Pete Walsh is a shoe-in if Chris Eccleston ever proverbially decides to hang up the U boat captain coat again.
Glad you enjoyed their impressions! Have you heard my poem too... 'Ode to a Timelord'? It features impressions of every Doctor so far (well, up to Jodie...!)
I was just recommended this and have to say, holy cow, fantastic work. Great voice over work as well. I was picturing Christopher Ecclestone and Peter Capaldi the whole time.
praise be fanfic thats more than listenable - just procrastinating nope doing research on where the bar is set before getting stuck into our final season production. cheers!
@@lukeoliver2785 omg it was a pregnancy ago - exactly 9 months and i'm still not finished :( an audiodrama fbook friend reminded me this is the gold standard fan audio :) I feel like I want to give u our gobekli tepe story line - its huge it should roar and thunder, break every paradigm and make you think about the real world yet long to be in the fantasy one long after the credits roll..... but its probably going to be clunky one liners, mismatched recording levels and coconuts again :P
The 9th doctors voice actor is great! He has less of a range and doesnt let his voice get as high as Chris when acting excited. The 12th actors voice is clearly too young and not quite as.... rude or angry brows??? Other than that a great fan production
I'd assume it takes place just before the Doctor tells Rose that the TARDIS can time travel. He dematerialises, goes on a number of adventures (trying to purposefully get Rose's attention by staring directly into cameras throughout history) then comes back.
I've just listened to the first episode so far. Well done! The voices are very good, I could have sworn they were really Christopher Eccleston and Peter Capaldi. And the story is great! Nice to see the Shadow Proclamation getting a mention. Hope you do some more of these.
I think looking for Jonathon Carley after the War Doctor made RUclips recommended me this. Best recommendation ever!! This production is ridiculously top notch, from soundscape, writing, to of course, the voice actors.

Fantastic! brilliantly executed ,deserves to be cannon, and as far i'm concerned it is. thank you to all your team. hope more people listen to part two. M
This is better than I thought it was going to be (no offense intended). I've heard some awful impersonations of Peter Capaldi but this is pretty good. Not perfect, but it's good enough that it doesn't take away from anything. Pete Walsh is, excuse the joke, fantastic as Nine.
@team torchwood Oh, definitely. Nine was my first Doctor. Hes not my favourite (12 is) but he holds a special place in my heart. It would be awesome if they got Billie Piper back for one or a few. That'd be nice to hear them together again. Still I'm happy with whatever we get. I only found out how he had such an awful time doing the role. I never knew why he really left. Can't wait to see how it goes. I'm hopeful for Capaldi to do some. I love listening to the audiobooks he's already done so it would be cool to have some Doctor Who ones.

How about Donna and six
Ok.. so whoever you have voicing these doctors is spot on! Well Done
They're a talented pair indeed! I recently made a second video that features all of the Doctors - so if you like impressions, check out 'Ode to a Timelord' ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
This is my go to story, I never get bored no matter how many times I play it. Brilliant.
Thank you, Colin! This really made me smile :)
Thanks ever so much for sharing this - I'm just amazed it's still getting so many hits :)
And if you're a fan of Doctor Who impressions, then do take a look at my Poem - Ode to a Timelord ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
Just sublime. Excellent story and the voice talent for the 9th and 12th Doctors were amazing. Wish the new season of Dr Who was this good
Studio Severn Very kind, glad you enjoyed it :)
Fantastically crafted to the last jelly baby mannerisms.
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
I'm just lost for words. Thank you to everyone involved, this is so fantastic. I just finished watching series 1 and this blends so seamlessly, it's so authentic!
Such a lovely comment to read! Very high praise indeed - glad you're enjoying it :)
Fantastic !... What's sure is that Pete Walsh just has to send this file to Big Finish to find a new (part-time maybe ?) job as the "official" Ninth Doctor !! And by the way, resolving a bad case, knowing that Eccleston will NEVER do it !... ;)
They're not interested.
Amazing voices that capture 9 and 12 perfectly, kudos!
Lovely drama! Even the male robotic voice sounds like an Ood! Cannot express enough how shocked I was to hear how much this sounds like Chris E. Fantastic!
This is amazing I would have thought this was official the 9th Doctor impression is on point!
I am AMAZED how close the voice actors in this are to Eccleston and Capaldi!
Ah, glad you enjoyed it! And I totally agree - only the best impressionists will allow you to really get lost in the story :)
Wow! This is fabulous! These actors' impressions are great! I hope Big Finish hires these actors!
I honestly can’t wait to start on part 2 :0
Also, some amazing foley and Sound Effects.
I'd of put my wages on that was Chris Eccleston & Peter Capaldi talking.I wish this would be sent to Big Finish so they use use the voice actors.
I was amazed this was fan-made, congratulations! The story is interesting, the dialogs are great, the voices, everything!
Vicky Stark Ah, thanks! That's great to hear :)
Uncannily, spookily well made. Brilliant.
3 years later and I am still absolutely blown away by this
Thanks for coming back :)
@@lukeoliver2785 Thank you so much for the reply! I'll check it out!
Pete Walsh should be hired by Big Finish and make imitation of the ninth !
I doubt they'd get Chris's permission, it's all about image right etc these days. We can live in hope that one day he will do them but I think he might have a bit of bitterness towards the roll
@@andrewtate4897 This aged well. 😂
@@MultiversalEditsExtra who'd have thought! glad he's doing it though
OMG HE SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE CHRISTOPHER WTFF
I am convinced that Pete Walsh and Jonathan Carley got onto "Doctors, Assemble" because of this. Absolutely fantastic, every facet of it!
Doctors Assemble is gonna be amazing, special guest real Drs will feature as well. cant say anymore Top Secret!
Glad you enjoyed it :) I think Pete was pretty famous for his 9th Doctor before this though to be honest...! And it's not just these two talented individuals - there are some really great Doctor Who Impressionists out there - ruclips.net/video/I3cjqQ8dGPY/видео.html
BRUH that 9th doctor voice is really cool
BBC needs to do this. Back-and-forth, leaving clues for one-another. Amazing!
Thank you!!
Ah, that's wonderful to hear - glad it kept you hooked...!
Bloody hell, this is amazing. Can anyone imagine an animated video to go along with this?
Trying to make this happen...
@@Moledmc I'd offer to help if I had any animation abilities at all.
@@dalekcaan99 cheers :) have asked a few animators, it's incredibly expensive.
@@Moledmc I can only imagine.
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it. Was a lot of hard work to put together, but definitely worth it :)
The Ninth Doctor is spot on (and the 12th ain't bad at all). And three cheers for the gift shop reference!
both characters were well represented in this: this is good, very good.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
@@lukeoliver2785 - the twelth, war doctor and the seventh and fourth are my personal favourites. I give praise rarely... but, this enterprise deserves all kudus given.
@@neilkendrick4976 Ah, cheers man! Very kind of you :)
@@lukeoliver2785 - an understatement. i listen to a lot of dr who audio. my compliment was well meant...
Christ, that was good. One of the best Doctor Who stories out there.
What a comment! Thanks, glad you liked it :)
Just discovered this, and I would have loved to have seen this story on the small screen. Get rid of that whole "Kill the moon" rubbish, and slip this story in instead between Clara and Bill. Your production quality is amazing.
@@donaldwatson7698 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Jon Carley is pretty much spot-on as the War Doctor, but I also think his Twelfth Doctor is just a cut above Jacob Dudman's. (Not to diminish Dudman's talents--his Eleventh Doc is LITERALLY the voice of Matt Smith, somehow.)
Pete Walsh is a shoe-in if Chris Eccleston ever proverbially decides to hang up the U boat captain coat again.
Glad you enjoyed their impressions! Have you heard my poem too... 'Ode to a Timelord'? It features impressions of every Doctor so far (well, up to Jodie...!)
I was just recommended this and have to say, holy cow, fantastic work. Great voice over work as well. I was picturing Christopher Ecclestone and Peter Capaldi the whole time.
praise be fanfic thats more than listenable - just procrastinating nope doing research on where the bar is set before getting stuck into our final season production. cheers!
Cheers - good luck with your project :)
we'll need it! just uploaded video of our coconuts ..
I remember the first time I heard this I thought this was absolutely fantastic, I'm just hearing this for the first time in ages and I still love it.
Thanks for coming back again!! :)
@@lukeoliver2785 you're welcome
The 9th doctors voice actor is great! He has less of a range and doesnt let his voice get as high as Chris when acting excited. The 12th actors voice is clearly too young and not quite as.... rude or angry brows??? Other than that a great fan production
this is canon for me
Thanks, Robert. Glad you enjoyed it :)
you welcome oliver
This is great! Feels like a real episode of Doctor Who and the voices are spot on!
I went outside and recorded my shoes as I walked up and down the gravel path - they sounded identical to the shoe sounds on this audio performance!
someone needs to animate this
TomTalks I would love that! If you know any talented animators, tell them to get in touch with me ;)
Does this happen before 'Rose'?
Yes, and then again no.
Inbetween Rose
I'd assume it takes place just before the Doctor tells Rose that the TARDIS can time travel. He dematerialises, goes on a number of adventures (trying to purposefully get Rose's attention by staring directly into cameras throughout history) then comes back.
CHOBE so everything with Clive and what he showed happened after Rose?
@@davrososwald7287 From the Doctor's perspective, yeah.

Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
As the ninth doctor would say, fantastic! Got the accent of the ninth perfectly.
*standing ovation*
Very well done! Excellent voices, brilliant story, fantastic acting!
