Yeah, that's such a nicely done little easter egg that only longtime fans of the games would know (aka the original games, not just the Bethesda games) and love seeing.
So the 10.10.1997 interesting im new in fallout i only played part 4 but i must say i like it good Story gameplay really good and i love the Vats the slowmos are so funny sometimes 😂
Guys, Moldaver is my favorite character by far in Season 1. She was like a real life demigod. Moldaver invented cold fusion, became a billionaire, survived to help the NCR try to rebuild 200 years later, then held out long enough with her remaining NCR veterans to catapult the New California Wasteland into a new era with this energy source. And she led from the front lines right before she died like a Medal of Honor recipient. She even got to sit down at the end and witness her life's work finally help restore hope to some of humanity before she passed. Lee Moldaver was such a powerful character. There is so much of this show that is great. I love the characters the most though.
@bigyeticane nah, she's supposed to be seen as good... well as good as one can be in FO. But, I won't forgive how she acted in episode 1. The random wanton slaughter of innocent people. Using and abandoning people on her side. But, let's be honest look at her foes. She's clearly was pushed as the 'most good choice'. Because Vault Tec and BOS are clearly worse.
That skull at the end is that of a Deathclaw. One of the toughest enemies in the game. Unless you have power armor or are levelled up really high, meeting one is almost certain death.
14:56 "I had to make a choice between their violent world and our peaceful one" So you dropped a NUKE peacefully?! All in all, this was a spectacular rendition of the Fallout universe. As a guy with a *lot* of hours in the games, I have no complaints. It hit all the right notes. Almost everything was accessible to viewers who had no prior experience with the game and still had plenty of easter eggs for the fans. I can't wait for season two!
I loved the scene with Lucy, Hank, and Muldaver it's exactly like the end of a Fallout game where there are several factions and the player chooses who to help
11:11 Somebody made a comment in another reaction video that maybe when Lucy was in Shady Sands with her Mom that she might have actually played with Maximus when they were children.
The reveals and layered storytelling are SO GOOD in this episode and the entire show is a masterclass in said storytelling. Just unreal how good this show is. I hate using hyperbole like "incredible" and "unreal" such as it is, but the show is that good damn it. The last 20 or 30 minutes of this episode might be some of the best TV I've ever seen. And I've seen everything from I Love Lucy to M.A.S.H. to Cheers and E.R. and everything in between. Just spectacular and I'm so, so glad we're getting a S2. Not to mention the New Vegas tease, I mean come on.
“..In exchange for the head, you lend me the services of 5-6 of your knights to rescue my father” Maximus didn’t bring 5-6 Knights, he brought the WHOLE BOS!
There is one question I haven't seen a single reactor ask. Of all of the characters from Vault 31, who obviously worked for Vault Tec before the bombs dropped, there is one character from 31 we haven't seen before it all started and the Ghoul was still Cooper. And that's Stephanie One Eye, so the question is who was she and what did she do at Vault Tec ?
Yeah, Fallout New Vegas is a fan favorite and it's one of the games that has a...passionate community within the broader Fallout fan base. Actually, so much so it's one of the reasons there was a fair bit of drama in the Fallout community on social media recently due to the fact how that chalk board was written it was misinterpreted by some in the New Vegas Community that the show was retconning the events of New Vegas. Thankfully, Todd Howard, the producer of the games from Bethesda, came out and calmed the fires and the pitch fork shaped key boards. The show runners at the end of last month basically said they're not married to any of the endings of the New Vegas game and reminding everyone 15 years have passed since the events of Fallout New Vegas. So, given we're seeing the town in rough shape in the credits sequence in the final episode and the exterior shot of the town looking sparse and devoid of buildings when literally in the New Vegas game every side side of the town should be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of buildings and people. There should be an NCR base, an entire share cropper farm, numerous homes of people that work and live around New Vegas, A Gun Runner location for selling weaponry and ammo, miles of power lines running along numerous transmission towers, including an additional walled ghetto called Freeside. It's making people think something catastrophic happened in those 15 years to leave the city so barren and deserted and there's plenty of theories about that floating around and developing every day currently. But yep, it was a solid series despite being kind of goofy. They introduced some fun characters, hit some solid lore points and story beats from the universe, let the Vault-tec bombing first theory have its day, and is teasing New Vegas making everyone hungry for more. Sadly, the current estimated release is somewhere in 2026. There was some speculation they might be able to release by the winter of 2025 but, that's only if they started full production this summer and I don't think that's happening so soon after a Spring release. Anyhow Thanks for reacting, Late to the Party! You guys are awesome!
Barbara told Cooper that they would be in a special vault for senior management which would oversee all the other vaults... that's not Vault 31. Vault 31 was a part of Bud's experiment using the 3 interconnected vaults and his junior executive program. Cooper's family are somewhere else.🙂
Yup. Hank and the others from 31 are just 'middle management' but uts clear they drunk the cult juice. Barb is senior management. The big boys and girls. The worst of the worst. Hank was willing to nuke 34k people including the woman 'he claims to love'.. imagine what senior management like Barb are capable... oh yeah, we already know. EVIL
The big monster is a Deathclaw. A favorite among Fallout players. Its the most well known enemy. You have Behemoths as well but Death laws are far more popular. Cant wait to see them in action.
@@greywarden5513 Well, the devs and producers got at least half a brain to make a great arc, unlike anything I've seen recently. Not gonna lie I was thinking this show will be horrible akin to Resident Evil or Halo show, I was more than surprised and hyped by how well it got executed.
You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this moment for you guys to get to this point lol it been so hard not to say anything knowing what you both are in store for.this show is so good
I hope, with Lucy being so disillusioned by her dad and the Ghoul's uncertainty about the fate of his daughter, we end up with a father/daughter dynamic between the two in the next series.
I can see a future conflict between Max and Lucy. He wakes up and see Lucy is gone and so is her father. Since he didn't witness everything that happened when The Ghoul showed up, Max will assume Lucy left with her mass murdering father. Max will feel betrayed and hold some resentment towards her. He may fully embrace the High Clerics plans with the Brotherhood of Steel now.
Funny that you mention Walt Disney, the Creator of Nuka Cola has a very similar storyline in a Fallout 4 side quest to some more popular Disney conspiracy theories.
"...now that's an information dump, I love it". Try Kojima's Death Stranding (game) 😂 Kafkaesque and confusing from the get go, and you think you don't learn much through out the game. But plenty of unnoticed hints. Philosophical message using metaphors as a delivery platform, weird doesn't even begin to describe it. Most be like "what the hell is even going on, how does this even work"? That's during the 5 hour explanation in the end, most being cutscenes. And then, "everything" just clicks. In quotes because you're still missing the third mystery, which required several playthroughs to spot, and hard to get lore. And then several watches just to spot all the clues that support than new founded narrative going on in your head. I'm at 40+ watches, and even now I'm still picking up clues to support "my story". Kafkaesque, so not a given I'm getting everything right.
IMO there are three possibilities. Even though on another's reaction channel a commentor left me his thought that Bud was above Barb in the Vault-tec organization. However, I still think that when she looked up to the shadowy figure looking down on the meeting, and she looks at her Pip-boy, that the figure was the president or CEO of Vault-tec and that SHE (Barb) is his personal executive assistant. Yes, it was Vault-tec's plan to drop the bombs themselves WHEN they were ready. However, (possibility one), somebody else beat them to it by dropping the bombs, whether that was China (who America had been at war with for many years) or some other "communist" faction. OR, (possibility two), Vault-tec did indeed drop the bombs first after allowing their competition to control those other vaults to do their own experiments in. This way Vault-tec would eliminate that competition knowing that those vaults would fail. OR, (third possibility), because there are, in the games, references to aliens monitoring Earth, that they dropped the bombs or somehow caused all of the nuclear explosions around the world. You have to remember that, at least in the "Commonwealth of America" they have been utilizing nuclear fusion for cars to power generators, and everything running any kind of "electrical equipment". So, it would be easy for "them" to start a chain reaction across the world. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it!!!
All these reveals made me think: Hank, while having considerable amount of power (enough to use nukes and knows true meaning of vaults or at least his own vault), he is still a puppet. Loyal little zealot who still doesn't know the big picture. I just can't wait to see what kind of ride we get in 2nd season. I wonder if Hank will have any kind redeeming arc, does he just get killed still believing the reclamation plan or what....
They may not necessarily have dropped them themselves, but may have created the conditions under which the bombs fell. They may have been pushing the U.S. and China to go war behind the scenes.
Seems that way, but this is also canon confirmation that fans have speculated on for years that they indeed intended to start the war if the world didnt first
It's hard to tell but according to House they went off 20 hours earlier than he expected which suggests Vault Tec were about to set it off but someone went early.
I love how the writers incorporated and confirmed what I would say MOST Fallout fans have long suspected, and the show confirmed it. Vault-Tec dropped the first bombs to trigger the nuclear annihilation of mankind.
There are canon characters in the games who became ghouls before the bombs dropped (some were experiments, others on purpose to mutate their cells to survive potential nuclear war). We know Cooper wasn’t a ghoul when the bombs dropped, so he definitely wasn’t the first.
Also, look at keeping peace when you're cheating. A more micro look at the concept. Keeping your lover in the dark keeps the peace of the marriage. You have no idea how. much the truth can disrupt peace. Most times you don't want to know the truth. It doesn't make you happy. Be glad you're in the dark.
Fallout New Vegas has to be one of the best 3D Fallout games of the series second being Fallout 4 as of recently due to the scale of how much freedom and choice you have which perfectly reflects the show. Everyone's choices end up impacting the story is one of the loving aspects of Fallout.
