He would walk into any team today. he had everything a keeper needs. Cool under pressure, good positioning, good reflexes, brave. a team would feel confident with DH in the nets,
A super goal keeper - he was my hero right through primary school in the 70s in Leeds. Met him a couple of times in Chapel Allerton after he'd retired - great guy.
Helen Harvey Must have a great personality, because of the way he played, but all of those Leeds players were fantastic and I can still remember him playing for Emley!
When I was a young schoolboy in the early 70's Leeds were my team, and I have to say, David Harvey was one of my favourite 's of all the Leeds stars at the time.
A top keeper who very often is not given the credit he deserved. For me Gordon Banks is the best goalkeeper I've ever seen and David Harvey is in the running for 2nd place. Thank you David for the many great memories you left us.
Unsung hero and a modest, likeable man.
Very moddest
One of my greatest heroes of the 70´s..I can´t forget his outstanding perfomance in Germany 1974.
Great goalkeeper . I remember him in 1974 Scotland X Brazil .

Ray smith You missed one point, that he entertained and made us job look heroic and a true skill at the same time!

He's my grandad😄
@@hayleyharvey5969 He’s arguably the best keeper we ever had

Great keeper in a great team , we loved him Helen . Give him our best wishes from all Leeds fans
My favourite goalie in a great Leeds United side of the 70's. The 72 FA Cup Final will linger long in my memory! God bless you and your dad!
Great memories of your dad over the years. He influenced me to play in goal.
The viking, Leeds legend!

Great keeper good memories.
Best Leeds United keeper of all time. MOT
The way he caught the ball from the shot by the Birmingham player; you will never see a keeper today do that.
A top keeper who very often is not given the credit he deserved. For me Gordon Banks is the best goalkeeper I've ever seen and David Harvey is in the running for 2nd place. Thank you David for the many great memories you left us.
That was before the era of high quality football pitches. The goalkeeper often had bare dirt (or even sand) in which to get a footing for the leap.
A great save from Vic Hallom i thought .
