Reallly! Practicing and trying to do third’s arpeggios and scales up the fingerboard and getting into the finesse of slipping into thumb position has not only been a bit challenging to me but feeling like I’m starting new on another instrument!
Excellent tip. This opens it up. I played fiddle for decades and discovering this giant violin with viola fingerings...basically same 5th tuning. And my low cello "C" is an awesome growl. The thumb everywhere thing makes it a fiddle fingering. Fun discovery. And great video. Thanx for giant fiddle tip.
