- This is my second video to help out new users to maximize the performance of their V3i. The machine can seem complex, but these simple steps can really help you get some good targets in a pounded out site! I go over filters, sensitivity, and Transmit Boost.
Man your videos are really helpful way better than most I have watched. I have a VGC V3i coming from ebay and can't wait to play with it. My brother passed away. I am dealing with his estate. I cleared off a number of old buildings and plan to go over the ground really well as it is for sure virgin ground.
Certainly one of the best test video's that I have seen. I picked up the ultimate coil for my V3i and found that it is amazing how much less noise it has over the other search coils that I have. I now have more confidence with making adjustments to see where it takes me. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for the video.
I just bought the 13" Ultimate Coil for my V3i and MXT Pro and haven't taken it out yet. Your testing made it look impressive. I'm glad you showed the transmit boost with the lowered RXG. I find it is really helpful in EMI areas.
+arizflash You're going to like that coil. It's lighter than the stock D2, and much deeper!
Great vid! I have some 12 in coins in my yard to run my V3i over and this vid will give me a good starting point. Just got my V3i and this will certainly shorten my learning curve. Thanks
I've never been a Whites fan.... speaking from 20 yrs. back. But... I'm just blown away by the V3i. 3 Frequences or selectable single freq. And everything adjustable. WOW ! I was thinking e trac... but not anymore. Seems with all the analyzer screens, cherry picking for gold rings in a park would be a snap. Good Video
William R I was leaning toward the FBS machines myself because of the "28 frequency" claim. That turns out to be a quite a bit of a misleading claim, so I opted for the V3i mainly because of the ability to run 3 true frequencies or one at a time.
Thank you for the lesson. I still use the MXT tracker and would love to get a V3I and go back over some of my spots that i've pounded for years.
I picked up a V3i about a month and half ago, I went back to a few spots that I heavily hunted with my Garrett Ace 400 and missed a lot of of stuff with that garrett because there was iron around a good target. I've dug a lot of holes where I had a solid coin signal, and as I'm digging I'll find a nail or chunk of iron in the hole along with the coin. Its really good at identifying good targets around junk, thats my favorite thing about it, it goes deep too, 9-10" on a mercury dime which surprised me.
@@AMT90 What coil were you using?
Derek Harris I was using the Detech ultimate 13 when I found the merc, I feel like the stock coil would have hit the dime also. But a lot of the other stuff I found was with the stock D2 coil, I use the 6x10 eclipse a lot too.
God damn the v3i are beasts!!!
Thanks for a great video, getting the 13 ultimate coil tomorrow .
Curt Crocker Cool. The 13 inch coil really transforms the machine, and it's actually lighter than the stock coil.
Awesome help! Thanks!
Super video!Thanks.
Ciao , bravo bel video , un saluto dal Italia :-)
Dang That coil is Hugh .. Cool Video😊👍
+HawaiisElite It's the 13 inch Ultimate coil. Light as a feather as well. Thanks for checking out the video :)
+Carolina Coin Hunter - NICE😊👍
great video
Hello Good video really like it... Point. Can I ask why do you manually Ground Balance the V3i?The book manual states a couple of sweeps over the ground and the V3i will auto balance...
I found it best to do a manual GB with the ground tracking locked for hunting in trashy areas. I also GB after making any adjustment to sensitivity or a frequency change. Also if you may the machine on the ground while tracking, it can track to the air and the GB be off for a little while. Locking the tracking will prevent this as well. Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much for your reply,I will bear in mind what you say about GB and locking the AT.Tell me /us do you have any views on 10x12inch SEF Butterfly coil.Thank You.Keith.
+AdventUK I haven't tried out that coil. As long as it's set up to run on the V, I think it would be good. V3i coils need to be optimized for that large dance in frequency. The original Ultimate Coil that you could run on the DFX and MXT didn't run great on the V3i, so Whites partnered with them for this particular coil.
You got your upper rod upside down. You ever do a Video showing the Modulated Audio adjustments? Be cool to hear on deep coins.
I was trying the rod out upside down to see if it made a difference with the balance of the machine. I run my modulation on 3. I may experament with that some more. Thanks for watching!
Any suggestions for setting the V3i loop selection for a more accurate depth reading with the ultimate coil? I selected the 12" coil setting but get an exaggerated depth reading.
That's the same one I've been using. It seems that pinpoint is a bit better than the running depth meter. I guess that's the best we can do. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your detecting!
I've had the v3i for about 4 years now with the factory coil and never been able to get that kind of depth . I run the high pro program most of the time , is it worth switching to the 13 inch coil improve my depth ?
Black Sheep I think the 13 inch coil is worth the money. It separates just as well as the stock coil, and doesn't pick up as much EMI so you can run it hotter than the stock coil.
Carolina Coin Hunter appreciate the reply I will definitely be purchasing one soon .
How does deep silver work? How deep will it go?
It depends a lot on soil conditions, but I've been able to detect a quarter pretty deep as you see in the video. The lower frequencies are more prone to electrical interference, and work best away from power lines and electronics.
Hello. Am from pakistan and in my home there are 2000 year old coins and something other.
Is that machine waterproof
no just the coil. the pod is water resistant and the box is not
+swatnc Just the search coil, not the control housing. Thanks for watching!
do u have an mxt all pro...
No I do not. I've been told that's a very good machine. I can't really afford all the ones that I would like to review.
+Carolina Coin Hunter you do great reviews and tests, only reason I was asking. .
+shawn1744 Thank you!
Hahahahaha...he calls sand "dirt".
