Not saying 4 strokes can't have a big can but with a 2 stroke even putting on a nice fatty expansion pipe u might have to retune the bike itself to that pipe vs a 4 stroke can hack the exhaust off and it will perform the same if not better but with 2 stroke it needs that back pressure for it to properly run. I have a 66cc motorized bike and I've learnt alot with that 2 stroke lol

I raced MX from the age of about 9 through HS graduation. Was 250 expert class on KX250’s. Am 61 now and rode a KTM300XCW. I have never owned a 4-stroke dirt bike so, I don’t get this comparison at all. To me…it is the smoke. It is intoxicating! 🤙
Real riders have fun on both 2stroke and 4stroke. Its still 2 wheels, plastics, frame, seat. Both have diffrent power delivery. Both have their pros and cons. 95% simular the other 5% gives you a diffrent rush than the other.
Well.. 2 stokes are lighter and more powerful, but have less torque and need a *lot* more maintenance. The most you'll do to a 4 stroke regularly is an oil change and clean the air filter, yet 2 stokes are fully rebuilt very often, especially if its used for racing.
The only reason the AMA changed the rules in 07’ was because the 4 strokes can’t race against 2 strokes of the same size engine. It’s just not possible. The 2 stroke is a true racing engine where as the 4 stroke is really just a big lawnmower engine. The 4 strokes are smoother but the 2 strokes take more skill to ride due to this however if they used todays technology on the 2 stroke there is no way a 4 stroke could compete
