Hello! Can I ask? In the sentence "Yesterday was a very hot day", does the word yesterday still function as an adverb? or could it possibly be a noun? Because "yesterday" can either be a noun or adverb. Sorry I need to ask coz it's confusing me. Thank you

If it was "that big house is blue" then it's also an Adj because we can't replace that at the sentence (big house big house is blue) to transform it into a pronoun we should right "that is a blue house" replaced we get "the house is a blue house" which makes sense even if there is a repetition.
