An air rifle is the best way to kill a pig in a trap. It is totally silent, highly effective, and humane. I do not understand why more trappers in Japan do not use this method, instead of struggling to tie up the pig at great risk to themselves while also stressing the pig, which I understand can adversely affect the taste of the pork.
