Not a Beachbum tiki drink but I adore the "Kill Devil Reef" by Sharon Mustipher. I great tiki drink that, for me, seems to get taste better as the ice melts. I was a Mai Tai fan until I drank the Kill Devil Reef!
I did the suffer bar steward. (Not wanting to get flagged) last year at a bbq along with a sherry cobbler. First one is tiki, second one isn't but vibes well with the sun.
The Samoan Fogcutter (for a gin tiki cocktail that isn't a Saturn) or Three Dots and a Dash. These are both great cocktails outside the big ones you metioned.
Hello Steve. This Krakato made me want, I will test very quickly. It looks complex with lots of flavors. I like Hinky Dinks Fizzy and New Years Golden Tiki and there are many more that are very good like Saturn or Fog Cutter with Gin. Sorry I gave a lot but it's not easy to choose just one 😁
It may be close, but I like the “across the pacific” its basically a mai tai but with the orange curaçao replaced with amaro averna. It’s very tasty. Best with an aged or medium funky Jamaican like 50/50 S&C and Appleton 8
The sheer quantity of ingredients always puts me off tiki. I'm a lazy drinker. I was, however, impressed with how quickly you made this cocktail......until I remembered I was watching at 2x speed 😂
I don’t know what you’re talking about To make my favorite tiki drink Don Beach’s Rum barrel you only need: 1 oz fresh lime juice 1 oz grapefruit juice 1 oz orange juice 1 oz unsweetened pineapple juice 1 oz honey mix 1 oz light rum 1 oz gold jamaican rum 2 oz demerara rum 1 tsp falernum or Falernum #9 1 tsp pimento liqueur or Homemade Pimento Liqueur 6 drops (⅛ tsp) Pernod (or absinthe) 6 drops (⅛ tsp) grenadine 1 dash Angostura bitters 8 oz (1 cup) crushed ice That’s all 😀
Yeah... I'm conflicted by this. I LOVE it. But if you're into Rum Cocktails, you'll have probably made it. So don't know whether to include it or not as I think it maybe "too well known". ??

I really love one specific Tiki cocktail…Trader Vic’s Grog…so fruity and delicious

Looking forward to this series
Love the idea of a coffee tiki cocktail, this is another must try going on the list.
Think I'd adapt it if i was making it again, but its got huge potential.
The Rum Barrel from Kon-Tiki is a great drink, especially if you want to showcase a blend of full-flavored rums.
Hey Steve. Some of my favorite less popular tiki drinks are:
Voodoo grog
Caribbean
Puka punch
QB Cooler
Pi Yi
Enjoy!
Ha. Cheers Joe. Think the QB drops in 2 weeks 🫡

You simply have to make the ango Culotta!
You have to try a Doctor Funk!
One of my favorites has to be the expedition from smuggler's cove.

One that I like is the Mr. Bali Hai from one of Berry's books. Its simple and a weird combination that works somehow.
Edit: Misspelled Berry.
Hello Steve. I dont like to make cocktails with more than 5 ingredients😅. But it looks delicious. Salud 🍻 from Mexico🇲🇽

Haha, that right there typifies Tiki. 25 ingredients and half an hour to make! BUT, it tastes bloody good!
Donn the beachcomber missionaries downfall
