Great Job again man! I have a short interview with a recruiter tomorrow trying to help me get a job with my new A+ cert and these videos have made me feel so confident about basic IT helpdesk work.
I dont think it's too advanced. These little nuggets of info can save you from mistakes. as a someone new to HD role. I want to ensure all safety guards are in place.
Thank you. Watching your helpdesk playlist vids. I am earning a lot. I also setup my own Win Server 2016 to be able to follow and practice what you teach in your channel.
Hey Kev, I finished your homelab playlist and have been practicing lately. I wanted to ask, is it good practice to remove the majority of the Security Groups that Server Manager created by default? The OCD in me wants to clean it up but I'm not sure if keeping them or deleting them is the standard. Also, I've secured my first IT job interview Monday and have started utilizing your interview content in preparation. Thank you for everything you do!
@b-koz we normally have separate groups for everything. Even the default groups should be protected. It's part of best security practices. Good luck on the interview.
Hi Kev, I really appreciate these videos bec its very helpful for me as an aspiring IT Helpdesk. But do you have any videos about scripting? UNix, DB, powershell, etc? I also may want to try applications support role in the future.
Might be a dumb question, but why do you copy the administrator account for the helpdesk role? Doesn't the helpdesk account then get all the different tools from being a member of Administrators? If someone joins the helpdesk of a company, wouldn't they just be given a regular User account?
Hello Kevin I need your advice, I'd like to start a career on IT, and one day become a Systems Administrator, but I'm not quite sure on how to go about it. Thanks!

Kevin I want to understand something properly please . We have here a windows client connected to the domain . We are controlling the client via the server right . In a real environment we may have x-number of clients being served controlled from a server domain . So in this virtual lab example we have say just the one client machine . With multiple users who can access the network via this one client . Many users can be part of a specific OU group. When we extend a real network say in a school setting , Do we actually start in the beginning this way . 2 physical computers . Router Switch Cables. Wireless. Then software configurations .
That's depends on the company. But most places have a dedicated server on the cloud or onsite. The server controls group policy. We also have a network set up in the cloud or idf room. Server controls group policy and other stuff

How do you fix the "No internet Access" after creating the admin account. I saw that your admin account had the yellow icon after you created it in your part 2 video but now its gone. I cant seem to fix it please help
Under users go to the administrator user at the top. Right click and change password. Make it easy to remember. Click properties and then account. Set user logon name to admin. Sign out and sign back in via admin and your password. Should have permissions to enable trash bin. Mind you I am just starting all this and have no idea what im doing but after messing with it for a while this worked for me

should "protect object from accidental deletion" always be enabled?

That depends on the company and how there set up. Goes back to the system admin. For safety measures, I would keep it enabled.
