Concentrations :- 1 - 20 mL of 1.0 mM HAuCl4 (gold hydrogen tetrachloride). 2 - 2 mL of a 1% solution of trisodium citrate dihydrate, Na3C6H5O7.2H2O. 3 - few drops(3-5) of NaCl to increase the size of nano particles.
Until they start to aggregation and drop out of suspension, which requires an energy input to remove the citrate capping ligands. Also in the case shown the particles are aggregated via the addition of a salt (NaCl) due to flocculation at the electronic double layer on the surface on the gold. If you can prevent outside processes on the surface then the citrate should be able to stabilize indefinitely but in real life application this will not occur. The particles will eventually agglomerate, coagulate, and finally drop out of suspension.

The case of gold is the one that I see as more difficult because the particles come back together. What harms our body if used in therapeutic processes.
where did I misunderstand something did it say that the redox reaction is the body making gold nanoparticles? lol if that's what it means then it is possible to do inner alchemy to cause those reactions at will then....this must be what practices like transcendental meditation is achieving on some level.
So what I can gather: 1. They give the atoms electrons so the particles shrink inside and 2. They further neutralise the electrostatic charge on the particles so that each individual particle sticks closer together?
This completely failed me. The solution remained yellow and never went through a color change. I followed the famous method of "Controlled nucleation for the regulation of the particle size in monodisperse gold suspensions" using the same reagents and a very similar method to yours.

I am not sure if they sell it to the public though. I'd be a little skeptical about buying stuff from eBay tbh, but then again they could be legit, who really knows? I wouldn't hehe
