Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents (Jason Isaacs and Martha Plimpton, Reed Birney and Ann Dowd) agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward. In Fran Kranz’s writing and directing debut, he thoughtfully examines their journey of grief, anger and acceptance by coming face-to-face with the ones who have been left behind.

This film is absolutely incredible. Hit me like a train. It brings a very politicized issue to its knees and humbles it to what it is, a tragedy.

The movie is incredible. Then why was the movie theatre empty when I went to see it? I guess people only pay to see big budget trash out of Hollywood.

Having only ever seen Jason in his villainous roles, this is a breath of fresh air.

Right? Literally every movie! He was in a funny short movie (like 84 minutes) with Jennifer Aniston, Frances McDormand, Joan Cusack, Ty Burrell and others and OF COURSE he played a jerk lol

I couldn’t imagine a situation like this. Just imagine, for example, the parents of Dylan Klebold having a round table discussion with the parents of John Tomlin. Twenty years on and I would not blame the latter for trying to strangle the former right there and then.

Well you might not like the movie then, because the film is complex and not so black and white. Also “strangle”? I understand being upset but c’mon...

Handmaids Tale, The Leftovers, Hereditary. Ann Down is amazing. The other one is Martha Plimpton and she was in 200 Cigarettes, The Goonies, Raising Hope. Pecker. She is amazing.
