We are extremely surprised to know that Kidar Sharma was person behind the introduction of such legends on the silver screen. He kept giving his selfishless services to the Indian cinema industry for 40 years. He was an excellent writer, lyricist, director and producer with a great sense of wisdom, knowledge and social awareness. It is evident from the scene where Baby Tabassumji delivers wonderful and innocent lines "Mangu dil se kehna ki sapne na dekhe kyunki sapne jhoothe hoten hain, sapne dekhne wale niraash Hua kartein hain, aur babuji sapne toh mujhe roz aate hain, main kya karoon..." fabulous. Actors and actresses who started their career under his supervision, established themselves as the legends of the Indian cinema industry. I am very much glad and appreciate his sense of perception and vision of the future as it can be found from his works and friends circle, colleagues legendary Bimal Roy, KL Sehgal, Prithviraj Kapoor, Debaki Bose etc. He was and still will remain as the most precious jewel of the Indian cinema industry forever, as his films had unique qualities requisite in an World class international movie. Today's generation of bollywood directors, writers, lyricists and producers should learn from his outstanding works and experiences and make movies that depict the Indian culture, traditions and lives of Indian people in reality. They should stop copying from South movies and Hollywood, just to earn good money. After all they should realize that they can bring in tremendous changes in the society, mind and perception. Kidar Sharma will remain as a great legend for his selfishless services, excellent works and people introduced in to the Indian cinema industry. He was the father of the legend making factory, without any claimed credits and recognition from them. The bollywood should honor such a great legend who was responsible for actors, actresses and his works upon the basis of which the Indian cinema industry evolved. There should be an award, cinema school or an top most honorarium named after him so that it will be a tribute to such a legend in the same manner as an aspiring or inspiring filmmaker receives a Dada Saheb Phalke award. It is very sad to learn in spite of such unique and marvelous works, the Indian government had not acknowledged him with any awards or recognition during Kidar Sharma life span. But it is a relief that at least one living legend has not forgotten to acknowledge him and let the upcoming generations know of such a great legend, its none other than Tabassumji. I want to just add that the song ‘Farishton ki Nagri mein main, picturised on his dashing son in ‘Hamari Yaad Ayegi’ is one of my all time favourite song. There’s a certain feel in the song which i can’t describe but can only perceive everytime I listen to it. I think Ashok Sharma acted in a few more movies. Would be great to know what happened to him and where is he now. In my mind that song makes him eternal. Thank you 🙏

It was producer Devendra Goel who noticed Kumar in Jogan and gave him a break in Vachan in 1955 He got further success with his supporting role in Mehboob Khan's blockbuster epic film Mother India in 1957 in which he played Nargis's character's son. His first major success as a romantic leading man was in Amit Saxena's musical Goonj Uthi Shehnai (1959), co-starring Ameeta. The 1960s had Rajendra Kumar rise to stardom.There were times when he had six or seven films which had run for more than 25 weeks (known in India as a "silver jubilee film"), all running at the cinema at the same time, which rendered him the nickname "Jubilee Kumar".
