- Here is a truck that I have known about for quite a while now, but I had no where it ran. During the school year, I saw it pulling out of this subdivision, but I was too busy to follow it. I didn’t know if it was a spare or a regular truck for this route, as I didn’t see it again. Fast forward to summer I was able to go to look, and sure enough, this was the first truck I saw. I was really impressed with this truck and the way Custom does their routes. Extremely dense routes, with almost all HOA’s. The Formula 5000 body pairs extremely well with the new MRU, and fast dual tippers and fast pack cycles, paired with a really fast crew made this truck super entertaining and highly effective for its route. The helper told me, they can get around 14 tons per load and collect around 900 houses per day.

14 tons on a 25 yard...anything..is not shabby at all. but I've never even seen an MRU with formula 5000 body. make it red and give it some alcoas, dual tippers, even fast idle pack cycles can be considered a plus. but the true well-oiled machine on display was the crew, always knew where the other would go, nobody wasted a second, and the driver didn't even have to break into a trot. I can say from resi RL experience that this driver-helper telepathy is a very difficult level to get to and some workers just don't have the competence to ever figure it out like these guys have. awesome upload, I found myself trying to think of what automated truck could outpace these guys. not sure that one easily could
Trashman242 Definitely an impressive load, especially for what would be considered a lighter duty body. At least compared to a Powertrack. This truck is incredible. One of the most visually appealing trucks I’ve had the pleasure to find, but it also runs like a champ. When I filmed these guys, I really didn’t pay much attention to just how good they were, I knew they were fast but not until reviewing my footage later did I realize just how good they were. Your comment really concreted that thought however. Having someone who has actually worked with tons of trucks and helpers/drivers, you know what to look for and can separate the good from the great. You can tell these guys have worked together for a while. I really can’t think of one either, these guys ripped through this neighborhood in no time at all. Not to mention the much higher quality of service they provided, because if an automated truck was to touch their speed it would more than likely be somewhat messy. Fantastic work Brandon!! This truck is so freakin awesome in so many ways! The helper was really quick! He’s mastered the spin onto the tipper. Loved the old school steps that go in front of the hopper a little. Cool how the driver helped out too. Customs HOAs look really nice too! The grey 60s they have are awesome! This is definitely your best video! Definitely gonna come film this with you me and will. Keep up the great work!

Really nice truck!! Always liked the looks of a Heil 5000 and it being paired with a Mack MRU sure gives an old school vibe. Love the colors of the recycle carts too, stands out nicely and pairs well with the colors of the truck (even though this wasn't the truck picking up recycle haha). Amazing crew and terrific find as always brother! Great job!

Awesome find!! Wow this truck is cool, everything about it is perfect!! Body looks great with the MRU, tippers are nice and fast, and the chrome works great with the red. Helper has some sweet J’s too 😂
