Wow this entire game is beautiful the story line is amazing and the graphics and art work are spectacular. I love how Yu and Kay have a forbidden love and fight to stay together even in the bad times. I would love more games like this. I would LOVE if they made anime like this where nothing ever really goes wrong everything is just perfect and has a scary but loving ending. Thank you to the RUclips creator who put in all the hours to make these videos I enjoyed watching!

I have some questions left:
Why is there so much rust around the flow bridge? I thought its origin was the power plant?
After you left the power plant, the cry of a huge critter could be heard. What happens if you go back there?
When Yu sent their location in the beginning of the game: was that mandatory for the story to progress? It seemed pretty optional to me. Is it possible to ignore that flow pump and if so, how does the story progress then?
I was missing a few things. I had hoped Kay's past will get cleared up, like they find proof he was born on Source. Or further information about the world, like what exactly the Apiary is, or the mark. And some other details. But overall, it was a beautiful experience and I'm looking forward to seeing more from the developers!

Finished the game with my wife and we both loved it start to finish. I hope that this game continues to gather a large fanbase and the developers get the recognition that they deserve.
Considering how successful this game was, I have no doubt that the developers will do something like this again.

Difficult choice. On the one hand, literally the whole RUclips will make streams or videos on the Cyberpunk. And on the other hand, after December 10 there will literally be no normal games, lol. So, most likely, it is worth making a lets play.

Yea you’re not alone! I think I’ve seen 3 other ending plays with the same dialogue. I’m starting to feel the odd one out xD haha but I think the secret beach section helped me get to the last bit I needed.

Apiary: they will be separated or executed.
Source: what if they want to start a family 👪, their son(s) and/or daughter(s) would be left alone when Kay and Yu die, then their offspring would be the last generation unable to pass their parents story or wisdom to anyone else unless written down for future explores of the cosmos to find, a sad end to the story

Music? An undeniable plus of the game
Characters? Very well written
Voice casting? Outstanding
Atmospere? Extremly wholesome
Gameplay? Okay, the combat and level exploration is good, a little repetitive by the end, but only by the end.
Role-playing element? Only two choosing options in dialogs? Really? But okay, i understand that the actors did a tremendous work already.
The only one thing that bugs me out - the ending (spoilers warning). You cleaned hungrends of animals from rust before. Couldn't you cleaned up your partner?! Yeah, it could be uncleanable hyper-rust. But, in that case, they are pretty much screwed - just look what happened with Oink when he ate a chunk of hyper-rust. I understand that it was done for the message "the power of love", but that message doesn't follow by the rules of this world. If they showed the character cleaned from that stuff, but with horrible scars - that would made much more sense.
But in the end, the emotions from watching the live of the lovers was worth it.

18:03 Very interesting observation is that I’ve seen this scene from other people play and Kay doesn’t mention that his parents might have died during an evacuation and Kay asks Yu if they should sever the bridge or break. I wonder what triggers this difference??
Do you think there are alternate endings where Kay gets scarred, both Kay and Yu get scarred, or neither of them gets scarred?
Logically, both of them would have to experience uncertainty and fear of the future.
I really enjoyed this game so much that I finished it in less than a week! , from the characters to graphics to the storyline, but the only thing that kinda stuck out was the ending, when I first played through it actually turned into the sad route but I wanted to see what would happen. And exactly as Kay said they got attacked, memories of literally everything erased and then to be separated with their mates. But since the sad ending was so detailed I thought the “good” ending would be a lot better than what it was. Honestly I think it would’ve been a lot nicer if we saw them actually living on the planet and not just a ship that’s landed there. Maybe even to the point where we saw they had kids or about to.
Even with the “sad” ending, technically neither character knew what they were missing... and if the game makers got more creative they could even have a spin off, where they found out they did all these things together and that they were in love before, thus how they escape the apiary... again . Lol but eh what do I know about game development.

I'm ngl I got stuck for a like a hour cause at the point they said they should finish fixing the nest the way they said it at least to me made it seem it would best advised to grab all the pieces and then proceed. Eventually I just went forward and found the wing

Does anyone know what "the mark" is suppose to be? i feel like i missed a lot about the lore behind what the apiary is and why they left, and they kept mentioning somehting called the mark.
As far as I understood, it was some kind of genetic disease, because of which Matchmaker was originally created to create healthy couples.

Did you know if the game have more than 1 end because I find difficult some battles to clean all the rust???
I'm not sure that the game has more than one ending. It also seems to me that clearing the rust at all locations gives only an achievement.

The game definitely has more than one ending. I saw a slightly different version of the one posted here on another stream, for one. And that variant actually poses a question that can lead to a bad end if you chose the wrong dialogue option, from what i understand, as others have gotten that ending and have written about it. It'll show up on RUclips sooner or later.
That option was not offered on the ending we see here though. I feel this is probably because all the rust has been cleared. While the other playthroughs did not have all the rust cleared. The streamer in question chose the "good" option on their stream, and it lead to an ending probably 95% similar to this one. But a bad ending is around, possibly with a variant, like how this Good ending can go one of two ways.

@@Hevlok For me, I had the contrary of your ending, Kay did the hero and saved Yu and the dialogue before going in the magma, was different because it was Yu that convinced Kay to go in. I am sure there is a link with the confidence they gain through the dialogues. I think they are the only 2 endings because I don't think they could have done another ending because they are tight on budget.
Even if I loved this game to my core, I was really hoping Ozias played a bigger part, he's so easy to hate on that small role he has.

@@Hevlok true. I find it endearing that they're already in an established relationship in the beginning of the game and the moments (that somehow turns dirty more often than not) they share together made them grow on me.

Have to say, I'm very disappointed in the ending of this game. I really enjoyed the story and characters until seeing the ending. My reasons are as follows:
1) The scars that Yu/Kay receives.
- Doesn't matter how much you love someone, those crystals should be concerning. They could have seriously detrimental effects on their health, especially since they've been fighting creatures with a similar affliction. If the scars are easily fixable like what they did with the creatures, then there's no reason for the scars to still be there during the ending. If they are not fixable, I feel that the affliction could end up killing them or worse: turning them into a monster. Then the character without the scars may have to kill the other, rendering the quest for a new life pointless. I don't think the other character would live with themselves. It'll be a fate worse than death for them.
2) Cutting off the flow bridge
- While this may prevent unwanted people arriving on the planet, this also strands the 2 of them on said planet, which has been cracked in half. I was hoping that they would've used repaired the planet. But instead, they have stranded themselves on a planet that'll separate and become much colder and have a smaller atmosphere, and eventually become unlivable, or worse, smash back together due to their own gravitational pull, which will destroy pretty much everything and kill them. They're stuck on a deathtrap.
- Not to mention that not only does this prevent them from leaving the planet, this most likely removes those smaller flow bridges that they use to go between islets, stranding them even more. Throw in the fact that the ship seems to require a source of flow in order to have power for heat, light, water filtration, refrigeration and cooking of food, and flight, they've put themselves in a much worse position than when they had the flow bridge on.
3) The 2 of them are now alone.
- While they may have been able to wing it so far by themselves, what are they going to do if they become infected with a dangerous alien disease? Their healing resources seem to only be regenerative, not preventative.
- What about raising children? They seem to have very little in terms of educational material or space for anyone else on the ship, not to mention that children need other children to talk to and grow up with, otherwise they'll grow up feeling lonely, even if their parents are there. Hell, this can apply to Yu and Kay as well. Humans are very social creatures and need other people to talk to and grow up with. Not to mention the fact that they don't seem to have any movies or music, and Yu has already read all of her books. They are going to get really bored really soon, leading to more stress.
- What'll happen when Yu and Kay become elderly? If they don't have children then they may really struggle to get the things they need, or even to be able to move around. And if they do have children, who will take care of them when they are elderly? Those children won't be able to have children of their own unless they resort to incest, which will result in genetically weak children, more susceptible to deformities and disease and therefore death.
- What if they don't have any way to repair/use their ship in the future? They were very lucky to be able to find replacement parts for their ship and gear. As mentioned earlier with the cracked planet likely going to get worse and no flow bridge means no power for the ship, they are trapped in a prison of their own making.
4) Pointless rebellion.
- The Apiary could just lie about them being on Source and say they found their dead bodies and use that as a reason for people not to leave the Apiary, and block all communications from Source, meaning that Yu and Kay's story is never told and this rebellion against the practices of the Apiary does nothing. Yu and Kay only found Source by chance, and the Apiary is likely not going to let that happen ever again. If you're against the regime and have managed to escape and create a new home, tell people about it. Make your own voice heard. Now they can't, which means no-one will hear their story since it will be covered up, and therefore no-one else will try to leave the regime. Short term happiness for the couple, but nothing will change for people still in the Apiary, and with the stuff mentioned above, they likely won't live very long.
I was hoping the ending would be the following:
1) Leave the beam on, but fix the planet and make it whole again (no rust scarring on either character).
2) Defend against Lord Ozias (probably kill him), likely with the help of the local animals and maybe even using the flow beam against him, since ships need that beam to travel to the planet from long distances. There could also be a mutiny with his crew if Yu and Kay convince them of the history of Source and the Apiary.
3) Use that vidchat beacon to send a video to everyone in the Apiary as a welcome message to anyone in the Apiary who wants to start a new life outside of the Apiary, on Source. Have lots of colonists come with ships, building materials, and equipment, and start a proper colony on Source.
That way:
1) Source becomes safe and livable.
2) No need to worry about Ozias.
3) Yu and Kay can start a new life together along with other people, rather than be alone and quickly forgotten.
Sure, the Apiary won't take kindly to this, but at least people will start fighting back against this regime.
One more thing: I haven't seen anything about an ending where Yu and Kay are captured. I've only seen this ending and the other variation, where Kay is scarred instead of Yu. Dunno if there is an alternate ending, but I'm guessing the 2 I've seen are considered the "good" endings. Which just compounds my disappointment.
Thank you for the detailed opinion, I think it's worth doubling it in Steam or Developers' Discord for more effect. Unfortunately, fictional worlds are not often associated with realism, although, as some writer said, "If you create a bun, then create a yeast with sugar. Unfortunately, game conventions will always prevail.

After a quick look on the Steam forums and a list of the achievements in this game, there is an achievement for not severing the flow bridge, which leads to a "bad" ending. I haven't found a video but someone did describe it on the Steam forums for this game: the robots come and damage the Nest, and Yu and Kay are captured and brainwashed. Kay is seen with his brother (apparently), and he probably ends up with the woman whose he was matchmaked with, so he makes it out relatively OK. Yu, on the other hand, ends up in bed with someone, presumably Odias but it's not specified, and she has a blank look on her face, so she definitely got the worst of it.
While the bad ending is certainly bad for both of the characters, especially Yu, as it destroys any relationship formed in the game, the "good" ending isn't good. In fact, there are no good endings. It's either get brainwashed, or strand yourself on a dead planet, with no way to escape. You have to choose to either be forced to live a life they didn't want, or die a painful death of their own making. It's a romance story with no good ending. I know it's cheesy, but romance stories need a good, happy ending that's worth the effort and sacrifice. If it doesn't, then what's the point of all the trials and tribulations if it's all for naught? Take the basic elements of a romance story noted by the Romance Writers of America:
"Two basic elements comprise every romance novel: a central love story and an emotionally-satisfying and optimistic ending."
The game nails the first part, but fails the second. The bad ending is fine because it's meant to be bad, but the good ending isn't good because it's not optimistic, regardless of how the characters portray it. Being stranded on a dead planet, alone, and having no power for the ship or equipment (since the ship and the machines on the planet derive their power from the planet's flow, which is no longer active, and we see the large machines shutting down after the bridge is cut off), or bridges between the islets (since the main bridge is gone), means resources and energy are going to be hard to obtain, if at all possible, which will likely result in their deaths soon after the game ends, via starvation/dehydration/hypothermia. If they somehow survive that, they'll have to contend with the extreme danger of the destruction of the planet. And with no spaceflight, they are screwed.
This game's ending has pissed me off, and it's a shame because I was really enjoying it and I almost considered buying it. But it makes me glad that whenever I see a game I'm interested in, I spoil myself with the game's story before I buy it. If I like it, I buy it and experience it for myself. If I don't like it, then I don't waste my money on it.

I do agree with some of your points. I heard there was an ending where neither one of them gets scars so that erases concern one.
Cutting off the flow bridge its not like they had much of a choice. Their choice was to be separated and forget each other or Live stranded on Source together.
Living alone that was the choice they made. A lot can change over time. The path of their life can change in a single moment. There is still a lot we don't know about rust and flow. The universe in general is a mystery to us. I do agree life is not going to be easy for them. They don't need to have kids I'm not sure if they can have kids. The planet does look like a death trap.
Yu and Kay's story isn't about rebellion against Apiary its just a couple overcoming challenges to be together. Apiary can say whatever but Yu and Kay's actions have inspired others. Hence why the hornets are sent to capture them. The council needs to make an example of them.
What you were hoping for.
Lord Ozias was on his way with an army of hornets. If they defeated those by some miracle, more would come. Eventually they would be captured. The only way to stop Ozias and the council was to sever the bridge or turn the beam off. The animals are mostly non-violent. They can't convince Kay's mom to help them yet you think they convince Lord Ozias crew to help? Even if they die in the next decade its still a happy ending for them because they are together. That's what they wanted. Now you can be a pessimist or an optimist. No matter how you view it its a happy ending to their love story for they chose to spend the rest of their lives with each other. I like the endings its conclusive and doesn't sequel bait.
Dog that is some seriously pessimistic shit. I mean sure they stranded themselves on the planet but they chose to knowingly. They wanted to be together and this was the only realistic option since they were only two people against impossible odds. It is a bit of a bummer that one gets scared but hey the sacrifices you do for love. Plus I like to think that eventually it goes away.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't really allow you to BE BAD. 😄
That ozias guy was a person I would of liked to face but he did not come but if he did I would have brought some other people to face him like master chief and commander shepard them two have had romance scenes well master chief had a symbolic relationship with Cortana. Commander shepard has a had lot of romantic experience.
So this society that yu and kay are from seem not a society I would not or anybody would like to live with I plan to start a second version to see if I can get kay burned at my ending not the girl .
I also expected that in the end we will meet Ozias and maybe even we will have a battle. It's a pity that the developers didn't work through that moment.
