- As a former writer and English major, Zmarzly says he is amazed at the ability a writer has to craft a compelling story that sucks a reader into the pages. Typically, this is accomplished by what the characters say "Yes" to: Yes to the relationship, yes to taking the journey, yes to answering the door. How do the words "Yes" and "No" shape our lives, open opportunities, and craft our life's story? This talk is a discovery of the power of these two simple words.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
