  • As a former writer and English major, Zmarzly says he is amazed at the ability a writer has to craft a compelling story that sucks a reader into the pages. Typically, this is accomplished by what the characters say "Yes" to: Yes to the relationship, yes to taking the journey, yes to answering the door. How do the words "Yes" and "No" shape our lives, open opportunities, and craft our life's story? This talk is a discovery of the power of these two simple words.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

The highlight of this excellent talk for me was the line, "you don't regret failure you regret the times you don't seize the moment"

"If you're watching this, know that you have been selected. You will be cleansed. You will confess your sins and you will be offered atonement. Don't worry, you don't have to do anything: we'll come for you.

Mark how wonderful that you said YES! The research about No was fascinating! No is a root behavior. I am going to share the facts about how many times folks in poverty are said no to. Wow!
Thank you for you being purely YOU.

Thank you for sharing those tender moments with us. As a person who strives to live a life of YES for my own growth, this was a great interpretation of it.

Beautiful sir. I’m so grateful you and your wife were able to make the correct medical decision for your family. I’m grateful someone you’ve never met did not legislate your decision for you. Blessings

The only part of this video that made sense to me was that nobody wants to read a book about someone saying no.
