    What a great episode. Getting to know the author behind a show you are obsessed with watching is just really really cool. His own story is just as fascinating. He has to come back for sure.

    Well, Wes' first 35 seconds was a testament to the dynamic range of the Shure SM7B. 😆

    I'm really sold on the Silo series so far. I didn't know what to think getting into it, it feels both high end and simultaneously a bit camp, but I'm definitely hooked. Very good TV. Although a superhero protagonist being the daughter of a doctor, becoming a master mechanic then becoming an amazing sheriff seems a bit like a stretch. I've just been imagining it as a Fallout character min-max run that decided to respec halfway through.
    Anyway, love the show, love this interview, really the best of all worlds colliding here. Also, the show kind of reminds me of the upside down of "Lost", like this is the world taking place down "the hatch". But also some kind of precursor to what became the last human underground city, Zion from Matrix. It's just all the best of vibes really.

    Very cool discussion. I enjoyed the 'Wool' trilogy a lot - looking forward to watching the series!
    And a big thank you to Ty & Wes for introducing me to Christopher Buehlman (author of 'Between Two Fires')... read all 6 of his novels in the past few months and loved every one of them!

    I like to binge it all at once, but the key for me is it needs to be rewatchable, many shows out there whether its weekly release or all at once are not rewatchable , The Expanse is rewatchable i have watched it probably 5 times now, same for the original Star wars trilogy i have lost count how many times i have rewatched them but not so much for the prequals or the latest episodes , now i do like it better with weekly releases if there is an aftershow that really dives deeper into the episode that helps me stay with it.

    • @RedSntDK
      @RedSntDK Год назад +1

      Exactly! Even though I'm not a fan of the author, I've rewatched the Harry Potter movies many times (as well as The Expanse), because it's just to well done. I've not rewatched Star Wars, but mostly because the style is so all over the place nowadays.

    ahahahaha,,,air force checking in. Had not heard the soft hands thing before, that's great. I was used to the 'country club' when I was in, then the 'chair force', but now I'm going to have to come up with some new term for all the Seamen out there that's worse than what you call yourselves. ;)

    Great guest, great discussion guys. I had never heard of Wool before I started watching the show so I didn’t really know what to expect, but the caliber of actors and the production value had be coming back and by episode 3 I was hooked.

    I really enjoyed the Silo trilogy. The look of the show absolutely nailed what was in my mind. That said, I much preferred the story and characters as written. I wish they would have stayed much closer to the source material. Still, seeing the vision brought to life so successfully has been great. Looking forward to Friday!

    31:00 See I, personally, love bingeing because I sometimes have trouble remembering what happened a week ago or two weeks ago, especially if its a story arc narrative. I watched The Expanse from when it first aired in SyFy, and I loved it, but I didn't really fall in love with it until I got to rewatch those first 3 seasons in a row in preparation for season 4 and realized it was even better than I remembered.
