It’s nice to see a fresh face around here 🎉 Okay.. so… As a mail carrier and vintage clothing reseller, I see first hand how packages are handled behind the scenes. Imagine a giant warehouse type room, 1-5 clerks scanning and “throwing” parcels into the corresponding route hamper (that coincidentally look like GW bins) across the room (my station has 43 routes = 43 hampers). Their job is to scan and throw parcels of the day as quickly as possible so the mail carriers can roll out the hamper to their vehicle and start delivering. Fragile stickers are ignored, busted boxes - ignored. It is up to us mail carriers to mend the package belonging to our route before delivering to our customer. Packages make many stops along the shipping route - they go through similar sorting practices at each stop. Unfortunately, I receive a lot of damaged product and most of the time, the package was damaged before ending up in my route hamper. 😢 As I see both sides, my unsolicited advice is to continue “overprotecting” your items with extra packaging as much as possible as liquids and other leaky products often burst next to our garments because they are “thrown” 10/20 feet. Personally, I opted for compostable garment bags vs. plastic. I wrap my item in tissue paper, place in compostable garment bag, and then a compostable mailer. I squeeze the air out before sealing the mailer so it doesn’t pop when a package weighing up to 70 lbs, lands on it. If I feel that I need to force the item in the mailer, I go a little bigger. For paper flat rate envelopes, I would absolutely reinforce with tape as the seems burst often. In your buyer review, their regular mail carrier taped the package up before delivering to them. We use whatever tape we have on hand so it wasn’t necessarily received by the “delivering” post office in this condition. The carrier who delivered the damaged package, cared enough to reinforce the seems. As a mail carrier, the post office has a very bad rap for situations like this. It’s hard to pin down the person who was careless with our items because so many people have handled them along the way. However, some of the good ones (like me) still remain. We take great pride in ensuring prompt and safe delivery to our customers - as I hope with all my heart, that my buyers receive the same amount of care and thoughtfulness as my customers receive from me. ♥️ Keep going girl!!! Love what you bring to the table and again.. it’s nice to hear some fresh perspective and experience. Thank you ❤

You have the personality for live sales. If you choose to do them. I also use plastic to pkg my items and have had several people thank me for protecting it as the package was damaged by the post office. Thanks🌷💕

I struggle to have conversations with people in real life, so trying to talk to strangers (if anyone even showed up) live online gives me so much anxiety. Have you ever had anyone complain about the plastic? I have not, but I do know plastic is something everyone is trying to use less of
I feel like I have to!! I saw someone on Posh tell another user they were scammed out of over $1000. I just assumed EVERYONE knew these were scams, and it's clear that's not the case!
I've been binging your channel - I love your videos! I'm intrigued about the Thred Up reselling option, although I don't shop on that platform and I only sell on Depop and Poshmark rn. If it reached a wider audience it might be worth a try! Thanks for sharing this
Oh and I meant to also say that 99% of all my depop sales have been boosted. It’s the best way to make sales there. The sales price is usually lower so you have to be ok with that but I find depop to be lots of fun and the buyers have always been kind and respectful!
🏈 regarding the keyboard….i love noises like high heels on linoleum floors, the noise my phone makes when I sell something. So of course I’d be typing ALL the time! I’d probably start writing a novel! Regarding photos, in the beginning I had many foot photos. There is a learning curve and I’ve gotten better, not good…just better. Congrats on the sales. Love the channel.

AND I totally mentioned feet on the floor in the living room because that's HOW I STARTED! Now I always say "no more feet for free on the internet" LOL... Ha ha...Foley's was an anchor department store in the mall on the south side of town before it became Macy's in the early 2000's... and then Macy's went out of business. My grandma lived near there, and we shopped there all the time :). That's a seriously vintage tag.

great sales. I've done the same with copying the title and not cleaning it up lmao the scammers are weird. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the loud keyboard lol I hate my acrylic nails making noise while I'm typing now🤣

Megan, ebay buyers don’t read descriptions.i I had a photo of a XL tag but said it fit like a M. Buyer returned TOO SMALL. Buyer bought Spode dished listed 7.25 inches. I called them luncheon, she returned because they were too small. You can’t win them all. 😳😊
