Umm...anybody who can carry a tune and has a baritone voice can sing like him...its why so many bar bands play godsmack covers...cos they're the easiest no brainer fuckin songs in the world to play and especially to sing
Like seriously, I know ten bar bands around my city right off the top of my head that cover godsmack songs and sound just as good or even better most of the time
WOW so many more fans than I would have ever thought possible. Even back in the height of their popularity, let alone now, when decades would dim to nothing the memory of even greater bands. JUST WOW!!!
In my head I often times feel like the kid in this video, shamed, hated and rejected by everyone. Their hate just fuels my anger and makes me stronger so no one can ever hurt me again.
yup I went through that stage too. wish I was still strong but not anymore. for me the problem with anger is it can get out of control, my wall has the dents to prove it. I try not to let myself get angry anymore because I never ever want to be anything like my dad.
***** you have a good point and I try not to. I'm mostly a nice person but some people I will always hate and be angry at they are just beyond forgiveness. the "god" thing annoys me. I do respect it, if it works for you that's awesome. it's just not my thing! I get so sick of people trying to "save my soul"! you don't know what I've seen or what I'm going through now. your magic words won't fix me, this isn't the kind of pain you can just pray away. I believed once as a little kid. in a time of grate need I prayed, begged, groveled and I got a metaphorical slap in the face! god is ether dead or has a very sick sense of humor! wow I've got issues! I'm so very sorry, I really shouldn't vent at you like this!!! I really don't mean any disrespect at all!!! don't worry therapy is on my "to do" list. this is so embarrassing I'll probably delete it soon.
This song has came to mind in so many hardctimes in my life. Its like an anthem. For me to kick the bad out and keep moving forward. Its a song I will listen to til I pass. Its just that good.
For the last 20 years every time I hear this song, I picture Troy Percival of the Angels sprinting up from the bullpen to the mound and warming up to this song. Most badass warm-up in baseball I've ever seen! I'm convinced this song fueled his power pitching each time out.
They kicked ass live every time. Saw them with Drowning Pool and Five Finger Death Punch a few years back. God Smack did a tribute cover of Dio Songs and then other covers mashed together.
90's baby here, dad used to always blast this cd in the car and when he cleaned the house. 20+ years and im listening to the same stuff he was, just without him. Rip papa. Love Godsmack.
Hell its 11-25-2019----I'm still rockin to Zepplin and Sabbath---masterpieces last beyond our lifetimes!!! Love this band KICK-IT--still be rockin til I die. Turn 70 in 8-20. ROCK will live way past me--all of us.
@Dez Osbourne Thanks so much Dez---glad we have you young fans out there to help keep REAL music alive in the next century.Yes 70 came sooo fast---my head spins, so many great memories I have of seeing most of my hard rock metal favorites live thru out the 70s and 80s---those times can not be visited again except in the review screen in my head. A few are captured on film but nothing compares to LIVE! Enjoy and celebrate your life---it passes way too QUICK!!!!
@Dez Osbourne I know what you are saying---a lot of awful shit now that 1979 could not possibly have imagined headed our way. It was a great calm and fun time compared to the garbage happening all around us now. I have said to like minded friends a number of times---I"m sure glad I was young when I was----great almost pinnacle point in time especially for ROCK and ROLL!!! But nothing stays the same and I have talked to a# of young people who feel like you. Try not to despair. I don't feel a lot of positivity about this country's future or the worlds for that matter---more unknown factors more than I ever witnessed in my previous years to this point. As the new generation we older folk hope you young ones will take or make a better environment than we silly self serving ME generation of Baby BOOMERS did -----we really made some great music but really fucked up the last 20 years trying to FIX what we broke Please stay strong young man!!!!!
@Dez Osbourne Each generation has its distinction and characteristic of a time they live in---I believe you are an older soul---although I am not very religious----I do know there is something kind of mystical about life. You sound like someone who will eventually ---Lead people because you can stand alone in your desire and belief--and stand outside of a lot that is our current reality. You see how messed up it is----it should never become the new normal. Example----school shootings---as a kid back in my day that was unfathomable---now you hear about people being gun down any where---strangers paying for someones bad day or life. Rock-on Dez---I do its a better place!
This is a kickass band. One of the best ones to come along with the newer metal. Don't know why they seem to get less attention than others bands of this period.

This is on my Playlist it screams how I feel. I'm older than this music.
You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing it is nice meeting you here btw.
Need my daily dose of Godsmack. It's therapy.
1 of the hardest hitting badass drummers out there..
Sat in a pub in London, just musing over heavy rock etc... just came across this...13 years ago this song was posted up.
Reckons I'm a late starter with Godsmack....durty, hardcore... fabulous 🤘💜🤘
Never misunderstand me! Yeah yeah yeah yeah yah
Sully's one of the greatest metal lead singers in rock history and am lucky to call him a friend on Tube.
Huh?
I like his voice!
Umm...anybody who can carry a tune and has a baritone voice can sing like him...its why so many bar bands play godsmack covers...cos they're the easiest no brainer fuckin songs in the world to play and especially to sing
Like seriously, I know ten bar bands around my city right off the top of my head that cover godsmack songs and sound just as good or even better most of the time
If it was easy than everyone would do it.
Mark my words. METAL will return. The world is an angry place right now. This music speaks to the soul
Not to mention covid
THIS BAND IS SO UNDERRATED !
Listened to Godsmack since I was 12!!! Loved the late 90's!!
You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing it is nice meeting you here btw.

+kamasoutra6 haha you're right
the flow of the song is badass as fuck
Godsmack has helped me through some times
I’d take that any day compared to what’s going on now!!!
One of my favourite bands. Will always have godsmack on my playlists.
..::This song still goes hard in 2020:::..
Sweet1o1 it damn sure does !!!
Been listening since day 1 and still. Godsmack still goes hard.
Young lady, I can see you let your hair down for this song...
Sweet1o1 100% great songs are timeless!!!
this will always go hard sweet 101 hell yeah
WOW so many more fans than I would have ever thought possible. Even back in the height of their popularity, let alone now, when decades would dim to nothing the memory of even greater bands.
JUST WOW!!!
and as always..so much love
In my head I often times feel like the kid in this video, shamed, hated and rejected by everyone. Their hate just fuels my anger and makes me stronger so no one can ever hurt me again.
***** BS; our anger defines us and you have it too.
yup I went through that stage too. wish I was still strong but not anymore. for me the problem with anger is it can get out of control, my wall has the dents to prove it.
God, just stay away
This is a song that I can listen to for 24/7 and not gets bored
This song has came to mind in so many hardctimes in my life. Its like an anthem. For me to kick the bad out and keep moving forward. Its a song I will listen to til I pass. Its just that good.
Godsmack is making there come back and will be better than ever
The most underrated band in the history of rock.
that title belongs to Kings X, imo
I agree underrated and strangely unknown. I live in Phoenix, alot of people I hang with are 40ish and hardly any of them ever heard of this great band
I’ve heard of kings x Christian band
their new stuff is shit, i hate it. love these classics though
LOLOLOLOL Overrated you mean...Hot Garbage!
For the last 20 years every time I hear this song, I picture Troy Percival of the Angels sprinting up from the bullpen to the mound and warming up to this song. Most badass warm-up in baseball I've ever seen! I'm convinced this song fueled his power pitching each time out.
seen this song and all their good ones live. one band I would definitely go see again and again. they rocked the place.
They kicked ass live every time. Saw them with Drowning Pool and Five Finger Death Punch a few years back. God Smack did a tribute cover of Dio Songs and then other covers mashed together.
Rebel gone rogue. Same here! Totally badass, head banging, moshing, crowd surfing energy!! The drum solo with Sully and Shanon was great too.
damn right they kick ass live my favorite band
90's baby here, dad used to always blast this cd in the car and when he cleaned the house. 20+ years and im listening to the same stuff he was, just without him. Rip papa. Love Godsmack.
Hell its 11-25-2019----I'm still rockin to Zepplin and Sabbath---masterpieces last beyond our lifetimes!!! Love this band KICK-IT--still be rockin til I die. Turn 70 in 8-20. ROCK will live way past me--all of us.
More power to you brother 🤘🏻
This group is the epitamy of what a rock n roll legend is - sizzling riffs throbbing bass face melting drums & a voice that is absolutely recognizably GODSMACK! The music coupled with their rip your heart out lyrics sets Sully Erna & Co apart from the masses as they scorch their way through the decades to a most suredly Hall of Fame indictment. Rock on guys,,,
You guys are awesome been listening you guys since you came out. Coming to see you this Wednesday 8-9-23 see ya's next week

I think this is their greatest song and that's saying a lot considering they've had many!
